I have two Skewb questions.

1. Is there a way to adjust the tensions? If so how?
2. Is there an opitmal solver for it?

Bump.
I have found a solver but I still need help with the tension

Have you ever disassembled it? And what brand is it?

I have disassembled it and the brand is QJ.

EDIT: I should also probably say that I am doing it so it pops less so any other sugession on how to prevent this would be great.

Anyone know.

I'm sub 2 BLD, using Turbo edges and old Pochmann for the corners and am wondering if switching to Turbo corners would be worth it at my current speed.

Probably obviously so, but BH would be more of a challenge, and even better for your times. And also, do you find M2 edges slower for you? It seems like the general consensus these days is the M2/BH edges/corners combo, or 3OP/BH.

I'm sub12 in 3x3 and I'm not color neutral. Will the color neutrality help me to loose a second?

At your speed, it would probably be too much of a hassle. Plus, a second is like, A LOT at your level. If you're interested in a challenge, maybe learn X-crossing, COLL or MGLS?

Was there any screws?

Were the under the corners that attach to the core? Because it looked like it was a soild piece of plastic.

IMO you're better off switching to BH or freestyle corners, though learning some TuRBo algs might be useful. I'm no pro at both of them, but if you want some starting out advice, feel free to give me a PM.

Why don't we have to solve Magic's from a scrambled position?

That would be too cumbersome.
Also, of the number of scrambled positions on a magic, a select few could be lucky!
Also, take notation into effect. Garrh.

My question (rephrased):
During a 3x3 speedsolve, if a 1x3x3 row popped and I inserted the edge and corners in correct orientation, how could I know whether or not I would have PLL parity instantaneously? Assume the pop occurs while performing F2L slot insertions, and that the pieces' positions before the pop was unknown. EDIT: Also assume that this needs to be fast.

If you're on still making the F2L I don't think there's a efficient way that would help in a speedsolve. During OLL, you could twist all the pieces in your mind while performing the algorithm. I don't see why you'd want to do this though...

Yeah. I was wondering about the idea if there was some sort of a method to quickly determining the existence of permutation parity on a 3x3 without getting to PLL first.

Umh! I love when this happens. But I don't get much better times, because it takes me time to realize I don't have a fourth pair to insert XD

There are planned and non-planned x-crosses, "x-cross" in a context usually refers to planned ones.

They are also not usually done cross first then one f2l pair. Normally, one solves a 2x2 and adds two edges to it to get an x-cross... quite useful when you have a corner-edge pair already in place.
