Where can I find a text description of r2 method for big cube bld? I find all this talk about it, but not a decent tutorial I can understand.

Can anybody give me scrambles that already have edges/corners solved? im going to attempt 3x3 bld yet again

M2 E2 S2 M E S M2 E' S M' S' E

Just do random M, E, & S moves.

No offence, but do you do blindfolded? You can't get real legit memo cycles like that. It would reinforce some certain letter pairs, permute but not solve a lot of edges, and especially impair you if you do visual memo (me). Sorry, but I'm just saying :p

Just scramble regularly, and solve the corners like a 2x2, or just solve the edges.

okay, thanks. any for having only corners scrambled?

also, any tips on keeping track of set-up moves?
Just keep practicing, and remember where your piece came from. It'll come, and welcome to the world of the blind ;)

Setup moves are always under 4 moves, you can't keep track of 4 moves?

oh... well... then my set-ups are inefficient. thanks :)

I don't do BLD :) I'm going to give it another go, though. I know those can't really be memo cycles, i'm not that dumb xD Thanks anyway ;)

(is visiual memo the memo method badmephisto uses? or is that the story method...??? ie. G/O edge would be gong, or B/O would be roBOt, etc)

No, I was asking mini if he did BLD.

That's letter pairs, I believe. Mostly useful for M2 and big cube centers. Visual is where you basically remember it like most people would remember a long game of Simon-says. Reinforcing it with patterns of which side the pieces are on, and when they return, etc. Or just imagining a roller coaster going around the whole cube. The term is sometimes analogous with tapping memo.

Anyone want to race me to 4x4 BLD before first solve and after? Please?

What is "2nd Gen"?

2nd generation

I dunno if you were being sarcastic or misunderstanding the question, but 2gen like <R,U> or <M,U> stands for 2 generator >_>

He didn't ask what's "2 Gen" he asked what's "2nd gen"

osht I misread iiiiiiiiit

Sorry, that would be my fault. haha, I could've sworn I saw someone say 2nd gen. HA! Oh well, I get it now.

All right. I started BLD a few weeks back, and I had my first paper solve after a day I think. But I would really like a memory method. I checked that one thread that had memory methods. but they didn't really sound good to me. Should I just try some of them anyway? or what. Idk
