Hi all, I am in need of some 4x4x4 help.
I browsed a lot of websites, searched the forum but I cannot find a solution for the attached case.

My cube is currently just like this, with two mirrored "yellow-orange, yellow- red dedges" and I cannot fix it.
Details: this is only my 3rd solve, I am using a simple method to line up edges and insert them "intuitive 3x3x3 F2L" style.

I already noticed that I had two wrong edges but I expected that this would end up in one of the parities I found on the web.

This drawing from Dan Harris' site looks like it but I really need to swap only two edges, not two "dedges". Aplying Dan's algo switches four pieces, resulting in the exact same issue.

finish pairing your edges...
is it even possible to have 2 pieces switches on 4x4? EDIT: yes it is

maybe its because I just woke up, but this made me lol.

EDIT: is that possible?

I didn't think it was but the cube has never been apart...

I am pairing up the edges by a 3 piece rotation so that is how I ended up with two unsolved pairs. Should I have broken up an other pair as not to end with two "identical" bad pairs?

Oh my...

All even numbered cubes (not supercubes) have a 1/3 chance of being solved once taken apart and put back together randomly. That 1/3 has to do with corner orientation. Yes, it is possible to have 2 edges switched, one example of this is "OLL parity".

just found out its possible, you should try doing L2E by pushing one edge piece into its counterpart, flipping the edge ( R F' U R' F) and moving it back, its a lot easier

Just did another solve and noticed that the last two pairs where identical.
So I broke them up into an existing pair and then solved all three in the same cycle.

Eventually ran into a PLL parity but this was a normal one:

Good to know that I can now prevent the original Two-edge case. All that is now left is learning the classic parity algorithms.

FOr the V CUbe 6 Mod, can I glue in the pins BEFORE sanding down the two internal pieces?

What are you talking about? You don't sand the two inner peices, you glue them on.

Nonono. I meant the this
Can I glue the PINS FIRST and then sand down the two TYPES of internal pieces. BY the two TYPES I mean the T shaped one and the arrow shaped one.
But nvm, I'm modding it right now.

What's a good tempo to be going on with a metronome for F2L? At least, where should I stop and practice for a while? I've gotten as far as 120 and average ~25 sec.
