Hey,

i bought a HaiYan DIY, and i'm assembling it but does the space come before or after the spring on the screw? it's a very tiny spacer

As many before me, I started cubing with a black cube. However, when it was to be replaced, its descendant turned out to be a white cube. (Quite involuntarily, thanks Popbuying.) This temporarily damaged my recognition, but it is fine now. But could it be improved? Let us see.
My question is best answered by people with an experience on the following matter. Would you say that replacing the white stickers with black ones made your recognition better, equally decent, or worse? (Given an equal amount of time to overcome the change, so that a value of recognition at Whiteend can be compared to Blackend)
I thank you all in advance for opinions! :)
I don't see why you need black stickers on a white cube...
I replaced the black stickers on a white v-cube 5 with white ones, and and it helped me with recognition. That said, you can get used to most colour scheme and in the long run I don't think it will make much of a difference.

As black is whites' opposite, I concluded it might be more distinct, especially since the white runs in camouflage.

Anyhow, I am just brainstorming and considering any eventual improvement carefully.

I went through the same transition a few months ago. Not that I'm a racist, but personally I'm a white on white kinda guy.

I found that using black stickers made the whole cube just a bit too dark for my taste, it was also quite easy to confuse with a dark blue face. For a while I considered just leaving that face blank (no stickers at all) but it looked a bit weird and the white stickers are actually whiter than the cube, so it's much better with the stickers on.

That being said, I have black stickers on my 2x2 (only because I haven't replaced them yet) and it's no big deal. Personal preference...but I'd go with white.

Do 4x4 stickers look good on fII cubes or should i just use normal cubesmith 3x3 stickers

my f-II has camcuber's 1.4 CM stickers. they're smaller than the regular ones. makes my f2 look unique :p

cubesmith stickers work fine, tho. my cousin has a set on his f-ii

edit:

Standard deviation (or SD) is basically showing how consistent you are( i think?) the lower the SD the better,
