I am looking to buy another megaminx. I bought the first one blindly, and I believe I got a "chinaminx"? it has tiles, and the tiles fall off, revealing hollowed peices. It is slow and bulky and clicky.

Is this megaminx a better one? it says qj, and looks different than mine:

I have a QJ, it's okay, but you have to maod it quite a bit bfore it's any good, and mine pops alot it your sloppy with your finger tricks.

Also watch this.

Also it is very similar to the PVC megaminx, from what I know.

aww shucks. So it'd be pointless to buy it then if I already have a chinaminx. I just need to get a dremmel and start modding my cubes already x(

The normal 1x3x3? Here it is on popbuying in black and white. But they're currently sold out. Perhaps you'll be able to find it in another shop, check the wiki for a good list.

EDIT: I found it on DealExtreme in black and white. But why wouldn't you want the LanLan? It's awesome!

what size screws fit in a cube4you core. i am making a mod that requires me to have screws that fit in the core and work like normal screws but are longer so they can fit around bigger pieces, what thickness should i get? I'm not really a mechanic or a handyman so I don't know what screws are measured in.

The new C4U screws would be my guess. They are a little bit longer than the original screws (they're made for Gigaminx) and are meant to be used with the C4U core. I actually have the new (long) screws in my C4U 3x3, and while they have to be tightened a lot more, it's amazing. The screws are 2.5 mm longer than regular.

Well this is my first day with it so hideously slow... I got bored of being able to do 120 wpm with qwerty so that's my target for this :D

Well that's quite the goal! I'm sure you'll get there pretty fast though. That's quite the impressive qwerty speed by the way. I think I'm around 70 on a good day haha. I never learned proper touch typing, it's all pointer finger work.
