I'm confused with Guimond.

For the first step, solve just 3/4 of a face of opposite colors, which means you have to get three stickers of one color and the opposite color on one face.

So for the first step:
eg. scramble: R2 U R2.
So is step 1 complete, because we have 3/4 colours of one face and 1 opposite colour sticker. Is that what is means?

In the next step, you finish the face and orient the opposite one, so that you have two opposite faces of opposite colors. Then you sort the opposite colors by putting all of one color onto one face and all of the other color onto the other

So for the second step, is it suppose to look like this?
Scramble: R2 F2 U2 F2

I'm sure it's really obvious what to do.

I don't know what you mean for the second part, but for the first I do.

R2 U F R' F' the D face would be 3/4 of a face made of opposite colours.

Not a question, but I'm not quite sure where else I should put it:

Give me a scramble, I'll write down my solution, you write yours down, and let's compare. Preferably people who are averaging in the 14-16 range, thanks.

If you're wondering: I'm just curious (and bored)

EDIT: I'm not talking about FMC, just a regular solution, as if in a speedsolve.

I average 18-19, is that close enough? :p

WHat 4x4 and 5x5 method does Faz use
Reduction.

4x4: 2-2-2-2-2-2
5x5: Free-slice

What is free-slice? Where can I find a tutorial on it
It's also known as Frank Morris edges (I think). Text version here (go to the advanced method) and video version is here at 3:47 (he refers to it as the Storage method):

Well, I use 3-2-2-2-3 for 4x4 now :p

I average that. :)

Scramble: L' D R2 F2 U2 R U2 F R2 B2 L' R2 U B D' F' B' L' R2 F D U F2 D B

Cross: x' R' D R' L F' L D2 (7)

PLL: U2 R' U' F y R2 Uw R' U R U' R Uw' R2 U' (14)

64 Total Moves
15.62 seconds
4.10 TPS (much faster than normal)

But a lot of them are in the last layer. :P

How do you count the moves and still go fast?

I just did a random solve and timed it. I remembered the cross and had a sketchy idea of what I did for F2L so I rescrambled and went back and typed out what I did.
