I have had my TaiYan cube for some time, and while it *WAS* the best cube I had ever turned..just like all DIY cubes, it has started to die out now. :(

my question is: What cube other than another TaiYan would you recommend?

An Type A-V plus the corner sanding mod. Very fast and can cut corners very good. Doesn't pop because of the tabs on the edge pieces and very consistent. A bit pricy, but definitely a good speedcube.
OR a Haiyan-Memory cube (since it's a Type A-V modded by Haiyan himself, it is pricy. $25) You can get them at cubehaiyan.com for free shipping and good prices. (the only place that sells Haiyan-Memory cubes)

do you think this woul dbe better than taiyan? if not, i'm just getting another taiyan.

i say just get another taiyan, but i have never tried anything that comes close to it so there might be something out there thats better, but it wouldnt be by much

Yes, I personally have a Type A-V that I modded myself (will get a Haiyan Memory in a few days) and it is my main speed cube. If you have a lot of money, I suggest getting the Memory cube, but if you are short in budget just get a Type A-V and mod it (it takes a long time, but the time is worth the effort). I have not personally tried a Taiyan, but I really recommend the Haiyan-Memory or a modded Type A-V.
I highly reccomend old type A-II. Amazing speedcube. Even sub-15 people think it's good.

Yeah, that is another cube that people such as Erik likes. I think you should try out a lot of different cubes, so you know which one fits you the best. Get about 2~4 cubes (depending on your budget) and test them out.

I have a old type A ii (iSpinz is a genius, it IS good), a C4Y, and a type C hybrid. What next? I was thinking type C 1.3, or maybe a type D. Maybe even a lanlan.

LanLan 3x3? I suggest you not to buy that. If it's a LanLan 2x2, then that's the best 2x2, but for the 3x3, you should try out the F-I or F-II, the caps are a drawback, but they are really smooth. Also as I mentioned before the Type A-V. Finally, a Type D I (the old one is MUCH better) is known to be pretty good with the Old Type A I cubies.

get a taiyan, they are quite fast, and they feel good in your hands, and if you turn fairly accurately it is probably the best cube out there

I get what your trying to say, but he has a Taiyan. I think he should try out new cubes, cause personal preference decides everything. Just saying.

Ill take a look at the Fs, but im afraid that theyll live shorter, like asbout 5 months. I cant for the love of me find blue type Fs. Or black. Maybe Ill get grey...

Btw, I can only have a certain number of orders until my parent will refuse to buy me anymore no matter what, so im trying to make them worth it.

Dear Roux users,

Do you guys have any tricks for recognizing corner cases? I'm trying to learn all of CMLL, but I find it difficult to recognize sometimes. For example, in CFOP, I'd look for a matched corner/edge pair. If there were 2 opposite eachother, it was a T-Perm. If I saw a solid Corner-edge-corner bar I'd recognize it was a J or F. Stuff like that.

I find this significantly harder with Roux, since the L6E aren't solved I can't really use them as reference, and since the corners aren't oriented I can't just look for a bar(like I do now). Is the answer just going to be practice? :P

Yea, you're just going to have to know your colour scheme by heart, and know what goes where really quickly.
