Has anyone made a fused cube, but only allowing M and U?

I'm trying to picture this, but maybe I'm thinking about it wrong. Fused cube and Siamese cubes are the same right?

Kind of. To the best of my knowledge, Siamese cubes are 2 or more cubes attached to each other, Fused cubes just have pieces fused together. Same concept though.

So would you take 3 cubes & attach one to the 1x2x3 block on the left & one on the right? This would give one with MU & 2 with rRUM

That would be a Siamese type cube. I'm talking about gluing together the pieces that make a 1x2x3 block on both sides of a cube.

Hey guys, I don't mean to be a bother, but would could someone take a look at my block building and give me some tips, or maybe solutions that YOU would do? :D

y' x R' U' R x U R F' R' U z' U' R U' R F' U z y U R' U R2 Rw' U' R U' M' U R' U' R2 U R U2 R U' M R' U R R' U L' U2 R U' x' U L' U2 R U' L M' U M' U' M U M' M2 U' M' U2 M U M' U2 M' U2

This is how I would solve this cube. I can't help but feel my blockbuilding is kinda terrible. I'm using Roux, by the way. I'm not too concerned about anything past the first 2 block, that stuff usually takes me 10 seconds compared to me 20 second+ blocks. So if anyone could give me some tips maybe that would help.

I didn't post a video because I suck and I figured it would be more of a nuisance to people rather than just the cube. That solve took my 47 seconds, which is actually rather bad for my roux times I've been getting lately (around 39 seconds avg 12 yesterday). I think I was just focusing too much on trying my premade solution instead of just solving. Oh well.

Oh, I also always solve Red-Left white-bottom block first. I'm really color dependent. If I see an orange block looking me right in the face then I'll go for that first, but I like to stick to red-white.

Ok, I guess I'll post my solution for the F2B.

So, I can see that you're doing 1x2x2 to 1x2x3 for both blocks, and you got lucky with that corner orientation skip. I do blockbuilding a different way, but I'll post it anyway.

z2 x' U M2 D' - First thing I notice is that my 2 corners (White/Blue) are already placed together, so I insert the edge between them. Then I move my block over to the side.

r u2 R2 u' - Now I can finish the right block pretty quickly, seeing that one of the edges is already paired with the center.

r2 U2 M2 - The second block corners are 1 move away, but I have to move the edge too, and then insert it back.

R U R U' M U R - We got lucky, and one of the edges is already solved with the center, then we insert the other one.

z2 x' U M2 D' r u2 R2 u' r2 U2 M2 R U R U' M U R - Overall, I'm really happy with it. I was able to see an easy solution and made the best of it.

U' F R' F' R U R U' r' - Very fast corners.

U2 M U M U M' U2 M' U' M2 U' M' U2 M' - Not too bad edges.

15.95 - Only 2.5 TPS, miniC is a little to small for speedsolving. Total solution is 7+10+9+14=40 STM, I wouldn't call it lucky though, just good.

Thanks for the response! I never really thought of using r and u moves like that. I had heard of making a 1x1x3 block but I wasn't exactly sure about how I'd expand that. This has definitely taught me a little something.

Something crazy happened during the second block you posted though :P I think I understand where you were going with it though.

Thanks!! The 1x1x3 is my main approach to both blocks, and I like it. Right after the M2 in the second block, there should be a U, thanks for catching that! I find that for the first block, the wide u's take a little bit of time to get used to, but once you change your grip a little, it's quite fast.

Does the C4U core here come with the center pieces and screws too? I think it's just the core...

Also, it says at the bottom "Btw , the color is random", is that for both the 6 axis and 12 axis, or just the 12? I'm thinking it's both...

It is weird getting used to, that's for sure. It's pretty neat though, I'm finding it a bit easier to look ahead in my solved using this.

I'm having a hard time grasping the concept of 1x1x3 for the second block though. I can't really get things to work out right. D;

Ok. It's actually quite simple, but yet complicated at the same time. First I try to place both corners of the second block upside-down beside each other in the U layer. Then I insert the edge between them, AUF, and do R2 to solve that 1x1x3. Inserting the last 2 edges can be really fast, I basically use variations of the alg R U' M' U R', such as using wide r's, inversing it, and mirroring it. After a while I skipped the R2 and went straight into the edges. Hope that helps.

I've been playing around with it and I think I understand it now :D

Thanks for your help. I feel like I am significantly better at my blockbuilding now!

Yeah, it's just the core.

The color is random for both.

I got all pink cores. :d
If that's any help.
