Sooo, let me get this straight. The procedure for timing yourself on a computer timer is:

-Leave scrambled cube on table
-Start timer and inspect cube
-While holding cube, start timer
-Solve cube
-Stop timer while holding cube

..Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
You could put down the cube and start the timer. As well as putting down the cube then stopping the timer. It's a more 'authentic' feel.

2x2: random state, so it varies
skewb: same
pyra: same
4x4: 40
5x5: 60
6x6: 80
7x7: 100

also I'm talking about WCA scrambles, since online scramblers aren't always the same.

ok. What is the "minimum" ammount of moves for 2x2, skewb, and pyra?

And are 4x4 and 5x5 scrambles the same? What about 6x6 and 7x7? What difference (scramble-wise) is there between a 4x4 5x5 6x6 and 7x7?

Is this guy's FMC result real? I thought they had to be below 80, and his is 535. https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/results/p.php?i=2007DUSS01

How slow do you have to be to lose a competition? There are 30 competitors. (I am not asking this about myself btw, because I average 20 seconds and have no worry about completely losing it, I'm asking about my dad who is taking me there and I think it would be funny if he would compete but he's afraid he will lose)

There are no losers. Only winners.

i want to buy some cubes at thecubicle.us .
One of them is the pre-order of the MoYu 6x6.
My question:
Will i get first the other cubes and the 6x6 seperated later, or do i have to wait longer for all the cubes so i can get them together?

My dad averages around 1:50 but his method has some very simple things that could improve it if he were to practice, and let me actually show him.
So... I bet he could easily get down to 90 seconds but I don't know

It is the other way around in my case. I average around 23-25 and my son around 45-55. But that's just because he doesn't want to practice :( I tought him F2L + 4L LL and if he practiced even half that I do he would be better than me in no time ;-)
