Hi
I use the regular CFOP and average about 21-22 seconds. Should I bother memorizing the extra stuff like ZBLS, COLL, Winter Variation, VHLS, etc. or should I stick with regular F2L, OLL and PLL?

If this question has been asked before, could someone direct me to it? I'm too lazy to search for it myself.

ZBLS, COLL, WV, etc are all pretty much useless with CFOP although you could memorize them if you want. They would just be a lot of work for no real speed gain. If you really want to learn something new, try learning CLL and ELL...

Alg sets outside of OLL and PLL are definitely useful to some extent, especially when you get very fast. I think people usually learn COLL and WV first. However, if you average 21-22 seconds, it may be more useful for you to just practice what you know.

For 8/10 track the good edges. Put them in the S-slice. Then F/B moves.

Edit: Ninja'd by TDM.

this is so simple but yet so ****ing genius... why have i not come up with it? afetr over a year of zz solving, i still twist my mind every time and track and predict all the 8-10 edges.... thanks for finally opening my eyes, this should make my EOLine planning SO much better

what is a good lube for the pieces of the cube
i have cubicle weight 4 for the core and that works great but what is a good lube for the pieces to speed a cube up
i've heard good and bad things about maru lube
would weight 2 or 1 from the cubicle be good?
has anyone tried the lubicle speedy because i might get that

The weight 4 lube still works great with 2x2s and 3x3s for the pieces, but anything cubes beyond that would probably require something a little less viscous. I actually used weight 5 on the pieces of my Dayan 2x2 when I first lubed it, and whilst for some it may be too 'gummy' it worked well for me at the time.

I'm looking for a video,

It is a BLD solve, and the guy solving gets a DNF, but he doesn't yet know it and so he celebrates epicly without seeing the cube.

It was at the end of the Non Popping DNF overture, but he removed the video..

Help?

Is it the joke one where it was done when the other competitiors were finished? Around the same time someone else was close to the wr?

..Erm.. If a centercap pops off while solving, would that also count as a DNF, just like if a normal piece(edge, corner) popped off?
