Are there any written tutorials for Yau. There's a load of video tutorials but I like something I can read and refer back to.

I don't know any off the too of my head, but you could probably find one on another website. ^^; You could probably search '4x4 Yau Method PDF' on Google and find it. If you can't, then I'll give it a shot and find a link if I can.

I've been looking and haven't got anywhere. Any help would be very welcome.

The concept of Yau isn't too difficult, as there are no algorithms, except your normal 3x3 stage parity algorithms.

If you can't find one, I can either try to make one or possibly find one (I looked for around five minutes). You can probably find the concept explained in words under the tabs on this wiki page: http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/Yau_method

If I have time, I can make one. Bob Burton's page doesn't have a Yau tutorial, at least none that I know of, and that's where I usually go.

No, that's OK but thanks for the offer. For some reason I was under the impression that there were no parity issues with Yau but it seems that I was wrong.

Is there a decent 4x4 method that avoids parity and doesn't have a lot of new algorithms?

You are asking a lot. No there isn't decent method that avoids parity.

There are methods that are decent and you only need to learn 2 or 3 new algs.
