I use Roux for 3x3. So, I find it difficult to get used to Yau for 4x4 (I mean the F3L thing). Any other method that will be comfortable for Roux user?
Why is it that the home page of speedsolving is filtered by the forums? i.e. it doesn't show fourm comps or off topics. and is there a way to unfilter it?
How can I make or generate images of a 4x4 so I can place pieces how I want? Even better would be if I could grey out stickers that don't matter. (no pc apps please, macuser here )

Hey, I got a rubik's brand cube many years ago
I used the little booklet in the package to learn how to solve if
and in that booklet they had me solve the green cross first
I notice now that on the new rubik's retail cubes
the booklet has switched to the white cross method
My question is:
Should i try to switch to white cross?
or should i keep solving with green
I've tried a few solves with white cross
but my eyes keep looking for green pieces

You can stick with green cross as it doesnt matter which colour you start with all can be equally fast, white is just used as a standard now so is most common. I solve orange cross only (very occasionally red) and only know of 2 other people who do and they are both very fast (Antoine Cantin (NAR OH avg) and Kevin Costello III (NAR 4x4 single + avg))
Unfortunately I think I've reached the too late stage
I used beginner's method for several years
all with green cross
and I only learned cfop with 2 look OLL
in the last month or so since i wanted to get faster than i was
I'll probably stick with green cross since I'm too used to it now
I have watched videos on color neutrality and I might try becoming CN in the future
...though the more i solve with green cross the more it will be set in my mind

I think the same. You can be very fast without CN too, for ex. Being able to recognize pieces just slightly faster and being able to use more inspection on your F2L pieces.
