I'm not sure what the number of cases is, but I will warn you that this isn't a great idea.
Why not? Idk much about square-1, so what's obvious to you may not be obvious to me.
Is it the number of cases? Are there really that many?
E: nvm, I think I know how to calculate it now... and I got 560. I can see your point. I think 8+8 will be easier to learn.

I have no idea if your calculation is right or not, but my reasoning is that if you are looking to combine two steps together, EO+CP is a much better choice than CO+EO. For one thing, CO is an absurdly fast and simple step that barely even takes long enough to be considered a step, taking 3 twists at most. Doing CO+EO in one alg won't save enough moves for it to be worth it to make recognition more difficult. On the other hand, an experienced square-1 solver will usually already have recognized CP by the time they start executing the EO alg (since most use EO algs that preserve CP, this allows for easy lookahead), so recognition for EOCP (as one step) wouldn't really add extra time. In terms of alg count, full EOCP would technically be 216 algs (plus regular CP), but as a first step you could just learn the algs for two EO cases: 1-1 and L-L = 72 algs. The rest of the cases you can turn into one of these (or solved EO) with an M2.

I have another reason for leaving CO separate and combining EO+CP as well, but I'll keep it to myself for now until I prove that it's a viable and useful idea.

For the last 4 edges/last 2 edges and parity, should I just use the same ones for the 8x8, or are there different algorithms for the 10x10? Thanks.

I use Roux for 3x3. So, I find it difficult to get used to Yau for 4x4 (I mean the F3L thing). Any other method that will be comfortable for Roux user?
