I remember that last year someone memorised a 3x3, then put away the cube unsolved (even packed it), so he will be solve it blindfolded a year later - about now. The purpose of this experiment is that someone can recall a BLD even after a year. Who was that? Is it time to solve the cube? Has he already solved it?

The person was Zane Carney; no idea whether it was successful.

Inconsistent times?

I'm trying to get sub 20 single, but there are already threads for that.
so here's my question. I think my times aren't very consistent
Ex - 29, 28, 34, 24, 27. Are my times inconsistent? Here's some info
about me: CFOP, a little more than half PLLS, 2-look oll, ok look-ahead,
F2L can be anywhere between 12-18. for any questions let me know.

Get dose PLL's down.

The 6 second variance in your f2l is responsible for the best part of your inconsistency. Using the times in your post, you have a variance of 10 seconds between the fastest and slowest. If your f2l is varying by 6 seconds, this accounts for 60% of your inconsistency.

I posted recently in the 'how to get faster' thread about holistic practice (i.e. working on everything to different extents, but simultaneously), and that's probably the way to go - your slower solves are probably a combination of 4-look last layers and bad f2l. Your better solves will likely be 2/3-look last layer, and better f2l. So working on OLL and PLL (learning and drills) will clearly also yield results.

I'd focus on what is likely to yield the most significant results in the immediate future for what you want to achieve. If you're looking to reduce the variance of your solves, target the area with the greatest variance (f2l).

im at a 35 second average and as well i am very inconstant, some solves are 25-29 some are 31-39 and sometimes 40+

Is it time for me to start learning Full pll because I am using 4LLL right now

Absolutely - you might get a lucky solve, where both the OLL and PLL can be solved using 2-look algs, but in 1 look each. That saves you 1xOLL + recognition, plus 1xPLL + recognition. Pretty likely that's a very large part of the difference between a 40 second solve and a 25 second solve.

Most people will tell you that you can be sub XX without full OLL, but it's never going to hurt your times. Learn full PLL at least, and some of the more common OLLs - your times will thank you for it! :-D

So I got a 4x4 and developed my own method for it. Unfortunately, I ran into a case I can't fix. It isn't a parity, but I don't know how. Here's a pic: image.jpg
Don't worry about the corners. I just need green and orange edges swapped

put the two edges on UF and UR and do this:
R B (l' U2 l' U2 F2 l' F2 r U2 r' U2 l2) B' R'
it's just a blindfolded parity alg with some setup moves

hi guys! i have some problems with qqtimer.net i have tride the speedsolving version but i wanted to try this one out.
when i press spacebar it wont start and even when it ii the mode that i put in the times i am not able to. does anyone know how i can fix this?

Some time ago I preregistered for my first comp.
It has a limit of 35 people, but the preregister list is over the 35.
If I come there can it be that I can't go inside, because there are already 35 people inside?

And a second question,is it normal that you don't get a confirm e-mail that you have pre-registered (I see myself on the list).

Thanks
