I think it's generally accepted that full ortega is the fastest... not sure though.

The V-7 is about 1+(1/4) cubies bigger than the rubik's cube (so about 4+1/4 3x3x3 cubies in size)

Thanks a ton for that! Now when you say that some of those algs are terrible, which ones in particular are you referring to? I've memorized 22 not including the 2 A cases. So far I really like all the algorithms I've learned. They flow well with my finger tricks, and have been very easy to remember.

Herp Derp, going to china during the summer to buy a few cubes. Planning on buying torpedoes for my dayan 2's along with dayan 4,5 and a magic. Can anyone tell me what torpedoes are called in Chinese so i can ask for some of 'em? Thanks

Ok, GuHongs are known for their speed and corner-cuttability. The only downside is that people seem to pop them very often. They won't pop at good tensions though.
LingYuns: same story as guhongs, but they are faster and pop even more. They have a nice crispy feeling to them.
LunHuis were popular for a while, but now they are pretty much forgotten. They are on the slower side for cubes, and their corner cutting is weird.
ZhanChis are pretty much the most popular cube nowadays because they are dang fast and smooth. They shouldn't pop at good tensions.

If you get DaYan cubes, make sure to lube the core with Lubix, or differential shock oil, which is the same thing but cheaper price. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...p?ie=UTF8&qid=1336094882&sr=8-2&condition=new

How good are Cubesmith stickers? And, are the half-bright sticker sets or the bright sets the way to go? Also, do they make an improvement with f2l recognition from the Zhanchi original stickers that i have?
