G perms, N perms, and F perms are now considered solved?

I'm kind of late on this but on this website
http://carrot.cubing.net/2011/08/23/wca-outlaws-g-perms-world-records-smashed/
it says that g perms, n perms, and f perms are now considered solved?

If this is true, I am extremely happy cause I hate all of those PLLs. But can anyone second this? I have never been to a comp and only average about 45 seconds.

And if it is true, tell me your views on it!

I need a bit of help/guidance with my Zhanchi that I got 2 days ago, right out of the box, I didn't do anything to it, mainly because it's my first speed cube and I am not very handy at modding a cube, (or anything at all) so I was wondering, what should I do to make it faster/better? I played around with it quite a lot so it should be broken in quit well by now. Also, I don't know if it came pre-lubed or not as I can't really tell, should I lube it anyway? http://www.speedcubeshop.com/apps/webstore/products/show/2524192

If you've had it for 2 days, it's not "well broken in". I'd recommend getting some form of Silicone Lubricants, such as Jig-a-Loo, CRC, Traxxas, or Lubix. Then I'd look up a tensioning guide on YouTube and tension it to your preference.

That is definitely not true. The people who made that site made it with the intention of making fake, ridiculous news articles. I'm pretty sure they got the idea from some TV show, but I could be wrong about that.

Define not cutting corners. Do you mean absolutely no corner cutting, or do you mean 15-25, which is less that most Dayans? Also Zhanchis are best at tight tensions, so just break it in, and it will get better.

How many pieces are in an 8x8 including the hidden layer? Not including the hidden layer?

296 without the hidden layer?

Are there any scramblers for cubes larger than 7x7?
