What is the first face solution for this?
Ortega.

EDIT: Wait, I got it. But how do you think of a solution in 15 seconds for when there are no 2x1x1 bars? This case took me a lot more than 15 seconds.

EDIT2: Another scramble, R2 F R2 U' R' U2 R' F' U2 R2 U'.

Look for 1 move blocks and plan out the other 2 pieces from there.

Go with half bright set and replacement light green and bright blue. The green and blue are ever so slightly off but still very close. The blue is a little bit darker and the green is more of an olive and not quite as vibrant.

What about fluorescent green? Bright blue looks as close as you can get to the Vcube, while flourescent green looks very similar.

I use fluorescent green, bright orange, and bright blue...Fluorescent orange looks too salmon/red.

I always mix up fluorescent orange with my pink stickers. Bright orange is <3

My GuHong feels really... Catchy? It locks quite a bit more than my Alpha-V. I've 48 edge modded it, and rounded the corners a bit, it's POM, silver screws, standard core, jig-a-loo lubed. Is there anything I can do to make it smoother without lubix/shock oil?

Try redoing the 48-point edge mod. My GuHong isn't a POM but I looked at my modded cube and my friends unmodded one and the difference from what I'd scraped was pretty substantial. I was about to say get Lubix until the end of your post lol

my guhong feels loose, is there a way to fix this, or is there another cube that is similar but isnt as loose.

Before I could solve a cube I always thought there was a mathematical solution to it. Now that I can solve it under 30 seconds I believe it is just recognition and memorization. So is solving the rubiks cube mathematics or memorization?

The question doesn't make much sense: to find a solution, you need to use mathematics before memorizing the algs. generated, but if you already have the algs. you don't need math at all and you can simply rely on memory and recognition. Memorization comes AFTER a solution is found. You skipped finding a solution and simply memorized someone else's algorithms, but that someone had to first use mathematics to solve it.

Finding a solution is "recognition"
No, its not.

Any one knows a decent alg. to swap two adjacent CENTER pieces in 4x4 without disturbing any other centers?
I'm tired of tediously swapping intuitively every time I solve this

This is rather embarrassing, but I cannot loosen the screws on my new Guhong. Does anybody know any tricks with loosening really tight screws?
