im using cct0.9.5 and i did a 5x5 solve and that was o but then i started scrambling the next scrable and it was the sae and i tryed this for 3x3 and 2x2 and the same thing happened how do i fix this??

Could you elaborate what you mean by cubeshape? As in, it will give you an optimal cubeshape scramble, but the overall scramble will be deadly easy? Or do you mean a scrambler where the cubeshape is scrambled.

I think he means a scrambler that gives cubeshape skips only

I mean a scrambler that "only scrambles cubeshape, normal scrambles are not practical for just cubeshape.
for timing cubeshape btw

It would be impossible to have the square-1 solved after each cubeshape though. Not sure if you care or not. There are many solutions to each cubeshape.
If you just want to solve cubeshape, why not use standard square-1 scrambles and just stop the timer after cubeshape.
If you don't want to do this, because of length. I'm guessing you could just shorten it, because there's no official cubeshape scramble length.

hmm I'm interested in that too, because the current scrambler isn't that efficient and CCT scramblers don't give you hard scrambles...w/e just use the opportunity to practice scrambling I guess...

You could go to my square-1 BLD page (see signature below), invert all the "moves to get to square", and enter those into a random string generator. Then you'd get the 89 possible cube shapes with equal probability across the different shapes.

I'm thinking of adding the probabilities of the shapes to the chart, but I haven't done it yet because I just haven't had the time. Maybe I should also include the inverse of the "moves to get to square", and call them "moves to get to this shape", or something, for practice purposes.j

Now that I think about it, maybe I should just provide a generator on my page for practice cubeshape scrambles. That sounds like a good idea!

Mike's always full of crazy ideas :P

Anybody know where I can get the Rubik's Cube icon for ObjectDock or things alike? I've seen screenshots with a pretty sweet looking cube image :P

Edit: nevermind, quick google search of "rubik's cube svg" fixed that right up!

One flipped edge, dos anyone know a good alg for this case?

Can you have parity on 5x5s? If so how do you solve it?

There are only three parities and all of them are edge pairing parities: the first one is a case where a single edge is flipped. You fix this with the same algorithm for the single dedge flip on a 4x4x4 which is r2 B2 U2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 F2 r F2 l' B2 r2 Then you have a case where you have to make 2 more thredges but there are nomore unmatched pairs to trade out with, you can then send the piece on the left of the right corner (lolwut? well, the third edge, on the right) to the other side, with the algorithm l' U2 l' U2 F2 l' F2 r U2 r' U2 l2.

The third one is just a combination of the two parities I just described, so you only need to know these two algorithms. No OLL/PLL parities happen, so when all of your thredges are solved, you no longer have to worry about encountering a parity error.

Sorry today is my first encounter of any cube bigger than a 3x3.... I didn't understand most of that... I've solved it once today but on my second time I came across parity and don't know how to solve it... So I just carried on solving it so I was just left with a solved cube with 2 random flipped edges lol.
