Has anyone purchased any cubes off of ThinkGeek.com? They don't have a huge selection, but the have some nice stuff, and its in the states. they had a v7 up for $45.

well anyway, I was wondering because I bought 2 sq1's from them (got both for only $10) and I was wondering what brand they could be, or any info on them. thank you =)

I don't know what brand those sq1's are, but I do know they are crap. My sister bought them for me last Christmas. They're really stiff and hard to turn, and when they finally start to loosen up, don't get too excited because in about 10 seconds it's going to fall apart in your hands. The stickers are terrible and the color scheme is different on every cube.

They can't be taken apart without breaking them. The first one broke when I tried to lube it. I just did partial turns and sprayed the exposed areas (with CRC) and as I worked it in the cube fell apart. Didn't try to lube the second one and it lasted a bit longer. It fell apart during the first solve after applying new Cubesmith stickers .

oh noes! thats aweful.... I feel like I've been played. well.... their v-cubes should work right? xD

Has anyone experienced a corner piece twisting by its self during fast and forceful PLLs?

With my Type FII, often when I have a R2 at the end of a PLL, I hear a little click, look at the finished cube and one corner is twisted. I guess in competition this would still be considered a valid solve right?

Unsolvable case at the end of a solve with no pop? Interesting question, i think it deserves a thread, for discussion purposes.

Just my 2 pennies.

Hmmmm, I did a great (For me) 24.44 average of 12 today but TWO solves had a twisted corner in the last turn. When I looked at the solved cube I was like WTF?!

The Type FII has corners that can twist really easily and I guess during a lockup, the edge catches and twists the whole piece.
