Just a question. Does it matter if that I do F2L with the cross on the left hand instead of the bottom? Or should I learn how to do it on the bottom? I use intuitive F2L and I'm not very good. I do alot of cube rotations and my hands lose control sometimes. Sometimes I actually drop the cube. xD

No it doesn't matter. I believe some really good cubers do it on the left.

Where is a good place to get a rubik's magic??

Thanks. I guess I'll just learn some F2L algs to help my times. :)

I got mine at Toys R Us. I know they have some at Target and Walmart too though.

I would get black, those are limited time. If you want, later get black.
Question: Why does the Vcube 6 need inner pieces? Whats wrong with the outside peices?
The V-6 has exactly the same mechanism as the V-7, except the middle layer is hidden. Without the inner pieces the cube wouldn't hold together, like a 3x3x3 doesn't if you take the core and edges out.

I know, but why can't it just have its own mechanism? And why not pillow it like the V-7, make it a heck of a lot better

Can you +2 on a magic?

Yes.
10g) For Magic (and similar puzzles) the puzzle must be flat on the surface. The maximum elevation of the bottom side of the puzzle at the end of a solve is two tiles higher than flat.
10g1) If one tile or two adjacent tiles are elevated too high or folded, and the puzzle is otherwise solved, then the puzzle is considered solved, with a penalty of 2 seconds. In all other cases the result is DNF.

Edit: σ

What does σ mean?

Sigma. It's the lowercase form of the eight letter of the Greek alphabet. In math capital sigma means to find the summation of something.

EX:

6

Σ (x-5)

Sigma means to find the total value of every positive whole number leading up to 6.

(1+5)+(2+5)+(3+5)+(4+5)+(5+5)+(6+5)=6+7+8+9+10+11=51

Of course I'm probably wrong. So this is almost a question as to whether or not I'm right lol.

You're certainly right about uppercase sigma, but lowercase sigma (σ) is the standard deviation sign.

Who is a good modern-day poet? As a rule of thumb, I'm looking for someone who has written things from 1965 to the present. I really don't care if they are still alive, but if they are, then that's even better. Thanks!

wait... i thought the help section is only for cube related stuff. shouldn't this question be asked in off topic discussion?

Shhh...

It doesn't specify that it needs to be cube-related in the first post...and I would like to find a modern poet that I like.
