That's kinda the essence of modern speedcubing and you seem to be missing it.

If you mean best COLL subset, then I'd recommend learning H (4 algs) and Pi first. The algs are pretty good, as is recognition. Resources: boca, wiki

I'm 15 and I use a 57mm Fangshi.

I don't see how being 15 changes the size necessary for a OH cube.

We all have different preferences, I just have a hard time controlling my 57 mm OH, there's no problem with experimenting with different cubes.

Depends on the size of your hand, not age. Some people's hands are huge at 15 while others are tiny at 15.
Just try OH with a 57mm and see how you like it. If it feels too big, go with a 55mm zhanchi or 54.6mm fangshi shuangren. If the ~55mm cubes feel big, go with a 50mm zhanchi.

I use a 54.6 fangshi shuangren (because I couldn't get my 55mm zhanchi to be fast/good enough for my tastes) but I used a 57mm guhong v1 for 2 years before I switched. For reference, my wrist to middle finger (crease line closest to palm to tip of middle finger) is ~18cm and hand span is ~21cm.
