does being fast at 2h help with oh?

The only thing it can help with is being able to look ahead into your solve farther to tell whats coming up.

I would like a second (or a third and so on...) opinion. Is R2 F2 U' R L F2 R' L' U F2 R2 a good algorithm? I have been performing it like this: R2' F2 U' Rw R U2' Rw' R' U F2 R2. I do the U by pushing the BLU corner to the BRU position with my left pointer finger.

If it is possible, how can I make my WitYou keep a cubic shape while solving it? Changing how I turn it would probably work, and so would tightening it a lot. But I'm looking for another solution.
Thanks.

Bump.

HK Now Store Shipping Time

Hey guys, do you happen to know the approximate time it takes for cubes to be shipped from the HK Now Store to Australia? If so, could you please post it?

Thanks!

Kind Regards

Is www.speedcube.org reliable?

I've seen some cheap stuff on their website: http://www.speedcube.org/. They claim that they are based in USA and have a ware house in China. Has anyone bought from this website? Is this website a reliable place to buy cubes?

I almost bought there but was sceptical too. Prices seem to be good. I currently only buy from speedcubingshop.com because Cameron is very reliable and takes care of me. Right now he has 20% off till the end of the month.

I'm currently learning to speedsolve the megaminx.

Are there any general tips like colour filtering for F11(?)L (if you can call it that) lookahead?

Also I'm able to orient all corners and edges in the LL phase with sune and double sune, but PLL is hard for me. I only know T-perm, Y-perm and a U-perm (with its' mirror). I dont have a single guideline on how to start doing PLL. I just kinda do some Y and T perms until I get a situation where I can solve it with a U perm. Is there a easy guide for PLL with few algorithms? Or is there a linear way to solve PLL with T/Y/U perms easily, like 2lookPLL?

I'd suggest EO, CO, EP, CP.

EP can be done with T-perm* (+inverse) and U-perm (I use J-perm instead). There is one EP case which I suggest you learn an alg for: (R L) U2 L' U (R' L) U' R U2 L' U2 R'.

*Alt. EP alg: R2 U2' R2' U' R2 U2' R2' ... easiest alg to learn ever.

CP commutators are fast and really easy.

I think the 8-move-optimal cross is when the cross edges are on the opposite face but flipped. So DF is at FU, DR is at RU, DL is at LU, and DB is at BU. That's the one and only case actually. All other crosses are 7 moves or less.

Wrong. If you solve the cross with fix colors (e.g., always white), then there are 102 number of 8-move-optimal cases.

1) Is it ok to bring a section of carpet to a competition to do feet solves on if you know its going to be a hard floor which you suck at solving on?
2) A tutorial for a good/simple(easy to learn) pyraminx method (i currently solve one face at a time till its solved but dont want to do the last layer algs cause its too slow)
3) Tutorial for square-1
4) Tutorial for clock

Thanks in advance for any replies
