Im wanting to find another way to do LL after transitioning to ZZ. Ive been looking at ZZ-b and ZZ-d but I dont know what way would be the best. ZZ-d looks interesting but Ive read that its impractical for speedcubing, but Im not sure if I should jump from OLL/PLL straight to ZZ-b. Im not sure if all of the algorithms that Ive already memorized such as sune and antisune will transition over. What step should I take?

Is it ok to speed cube without lube? I am new to speed cubing and have been enjoying playing with my Aurora with no lube. But I don't want to ruin it. Or is lube just a preference? Or is to to keep the cube from not wearing out? Thanks

I got sub-15 before I ever lubed one of my 3x3's lol. If you think the cube feels fine without it, don't bother.

so which is the actual siamese 3x3 cube?

you can glue 1 layer or 2 layers
gluing 1 layer down i think makes the cube a bit harder because there are 2 extra edge pieces to put in,but when somebody says siamese cube(i know i didn't spell it right) what comes to mind first?

The easiest and probably most common Siamese puzzle to make is the 6 (the number of shared pieces).
But that doesn't make it 'the' Siamese cube.

Stackmat problem (?)

When I turned on my timer, and i put my hands on it, the green light did not show. Instead, everything that could show came up, and the date, PBs (although those ones were outdated), and everything was reset. When I turned it off then back on and put my hands on it, everything glowed again and it turned off. After a few times though, it gets back to normal. Am I running out of battery, or what is the problem with my stackmat?

That has happened to me before. I just changed the battery and every thing was fine afterward. Does this happen every time or just some times? Because if the batteries are running low, it should still time, but there is a good chance of it turning off or there being some sort of error when you stop it. Another sign of low baterie is that the numbers on the display will seem far rather dull and far fainter than with a new batterie.

Only sometimes. However, it shows no signs of low battery except for that. Also, where can I get another batter for it?
