I know two OLL parity algs while the first one swaps the front two corners and two edges like an F-perm(the alg which most people use-r U2 x r U2...) and flips the dedge, the second alg swaps only the two corners and flips the dedge . So if I have OLL parity, I will do one of the two algs.If I can predict that I have PLL parity,I will do the second alg and I don't have to do the PLL parity alg . Tell me a way to predict that I have PLL parity.

ohh...I see

So as far as tutorials go, I don't know of any good ones, but jskyler wrote up a thing some time ago about this. Basically, you have to look at the permutation of the unoriented pieces and determine whether it looks like a PLL or not. Without parity, even unoriented pieces should still be permuted in a pattern similar to a PLL case.

I wish to take my GuHong to the next level. Is it worth ditching the Dayan core for a Cube4You core? I would be keeping dayan hardware

It's just because the threading on those is great and screws are always straight, so I thought it may help

This, but also the fact that the core is extremely durable. The cube might last longer before it needs another hardware change. Dayan cores can be just as straight if bought assembled or if you do it yourself and pay attention to what you do though.

It's a fairly trivial difference though since dayan cores last for so long as they are.
