Would we consider SpeedBLD 1-look then?

Yes; as it's BLD; but the only difference is that only the execution time is measured.

And going back to the 1-look argument; many people who use EG on 2x2 '1-look' solves and we consider them as 1-look; so the same should apply for all other puzzles.

How do people recognize PLL's from different angles when the up face is not alighted right? like they do the alg then they AUF???

Is sub 4 on 5x5 "good"?

I just did an avg5 for the first time and the avg was 3:54. Is this beginner, intermediate, advanced..?

For details:

number of times: 5/5
best time: 3:25.39
worst time: 4:04.37

current avg5: 3:54.82 (σ = 6.95)
best avg5: 3:54.82 (σ = 6.95)

session avg: 3:54.82 (σ = 6.95)
session mean: 3:50.84

That's pretty good. I'd say intermediate.

Nope, still beginner, I'd say anything to sub-2 is beginner.

Maybe with the 4x4. Sub-2 is equivalent to sub 20 on 3x3 afaik. I'm nearly sub 1 on 4x4, sub 20 on 3x3 and around 2:30 on 5x5. I'd say I'm a little better with 3x3/4x4 in comparison but by no means so much that I could be described as a beginner on 5x5.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

Does it really matter? The use of words such as 'beginner', 'intermediate' and 'expert' are arbitrary when compared to quantitative information. Nilsibert is sub-4...he has a lot of room for improvement.

Well put.

But IMO sup-2 is beginner
Sub-2 is intermediate
Sub-1:30 advanced
Sub-1 expert (gogogo WR)
