The recognition is the same as CLL on 2x2...which people are really good at.

I only came into implementing COLL in 3x3 after I knew CLL on 2x2 and I think CLL is easier to learn first. Some OCLLs are a little slow, so learning COLL is quite useful.

Alright, thanks. My first usable 2x2 (Witwo V1) is in the mail. As you might guess I dont have much experience with the 2x2. I suppose I'll learn CLL for 2x2 first and use that knowledge with the 3x3.

What is god's number on 15 puzzle? I found out that the lower bound is 109 multi-tile moves. Has it been found yet?

Wiki:
"For the 15-puzzle, lengths of optimal solutions range from 0 to 80 single-tile moves or 43 multi-tile moves."

From the article cited in wiki (A. Brüngger, A. Marzetta, K. Fukuda and J. Nievergelt, The parallel search bench ZRAM and its applications, Annals of Operations Research 90 (1999), pp. 45–63.):
"Six positions required exactly 80 moves, 4 of them have previously been detected by Gasser [12]. The new ones are (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 11, 8, 9, 2, 6, 5,
1, 3, 7, 4, 0) and (15, 11, 13, 12, 14, 10, 9, 5, 2, 6, 8, 1, 3, 7, 4, 0). The computation proves that the hardest 15-puzzle positions require exactly 80 moves to be solved."

Hey guys, can anyone give me any tips on memorizing Megaminx LL algs, and recognizing easier? Like, are there any methods anyone uses to recognize easier? I have the Dayan megaminx with Ridges, and the stickers are really bad (brightness wise), and I'm getting some new ones soon, but yeah, besides constantly practising, any amazing tips? Thanks in advance guys <3

Regardless, you still have to memo the centers with the other pieces scrambled
Cage method, maybe?

My idea was that maybe centers are made after edges(i wouldn't think that).
Then it would make sense to only scramble centers so you could practise them. If the edges are messed up after finishing centers, you would know you made a mistake. If the edges were scrambled, you wouldn't be able to tell.
