Hi Guys,
My plan was to get sub 10 by the end of my first year of cubing (I think I on the 2nd of sep 2011) .
I had a long break (2-3 months) .
Do you think I can still make it? I have nearly all sommer to practice (I live in Germany) and I might practice up to 3 hours a day.
Thanks!

EDIT: After tomorrow school is as good as over...

you could but it also depends on where you are now.

Yes of course you can

During OH solving, do you have to keep the non-solving hand on the timer? I recall that I was told this during my fail OH solve at RH 2012, but I don't think it's actually in the regs.

Okay good, because I constantly brush my solving hand against the timer during table abuse LSE, and that's frustrating, especially when I'm on LSE at 30 seconds (average ~55)

EDIT:

Is it worth it to learn Winter and Summer variation or (can't think of the name) Last slot CLL? Just wondering because if I am going to be working on Columns first for the next few months/years and documenting algs and tips, etc, I want to know if those would really be helpful

I want to learn my megaminx color scheme inside and out. Solving with color neutrality I have a hard time working out where to solve CE pairs in the back and sides without having to rotate and look around. Any ideas?

EDIT: I'm using an MF8 with the original stickers and waiting on a Mefferts in the mail.

What is the average movecount for Roux L6E?(Using the original method)
I'm planning to learn L5EOP and I want to compare the movecounts.

In the "classic" category (3x3 TH, just to be exact) I average about 12 seconds, with occasional 11 second Mean of 100s, and I average about 3.5 seconds for Cross+1. I guess I should work on it. My question is: Should I work on doing Cross and then one slot, both blindfolded, at the same time, or should I try to do 2x2x2 blocks and then add the two missing XCross edges, both blindfolded at the same time?

I recently bought a 2x3x3 and it keeps falling apart... it uses one screw to hold itself together. Anybody know how to stop it from falling apart?

Is it a QJ? or a lanlan? Cuz i know with my QJ, I was loosening it to make it smoother and it exploded. You just have to keep tightening it. It can still be pretty loose even if you tighten it a lot (which you have to, to some extent). Make a note when you tighten it to a certain point that feels good, and if it falls apart, you know you need to do more.
