Hi, I'm organising a competition and the registrations are coming in. I have a question about competitors than 18, who need parents' permission.

Is it the competitor's responsibility to get their parents' permission before registering, or is it my responsibility to check with the parents for permission?

I find it awkward to do the M slices on the 4x4, and I have not even thought about it on the 5x5...

I personally use CFOP on big cubes because, as you said, M slices are stupidly annoying.
Waffle uses Roux though on big cubes.

I would assume they have permission if they were able to make it to the competition with their parents or someone else's parents.

I've just started speedcubing. While checking out the different speedcubes cubers use I saw Dayan 2 Guhong and Dayan Guhong V2 mentioned in many posts. Are these the same?

The Guhong is the 2nd Dayan cube = Dayan 2
Guhong V2 is the 2nd version of the 2nd Dayan cube which has torpedoes inside to prevent popping.

i just recently florian modded my shengshou 4x4 v3. i DID NOT lube it afterwards so that probrably why, but now it feels slower and more catchy AFTER the mod. when i turn it it feels scratchy and sandy. i tried tightening it, but no such luck. it felt then same. do i just need to lube it or what? cause right now honestly i think it was better before i modded it. so please help! thanks!

just break it in a bit because the pieces are rougher now from what they were before due to sanding and hopefully you would get rid of it and IMO you should lube it after it gets smooth.
