what edge pairing method do most people use?
Also, I just switched from 2-2-2-2-2-2pairing to 6-2-2-2pairing. Is this useful for getting faster times, or should I go back to the old way?
edit: or possibly switch to 6-3-x-y?

It doesn't matter. Erik uses 2-2-2-2-2-2. I use it (not that it matters).

The pairing choice you choose isn't important. I find 2-2-2-2-2-2 easiest.

I'm only 15 and recently did this in maths.

y=x^2+x/2+1

x=1

y=1^2+1/2+1

1^2=1

1+1=2

2/2=1

1+1=2

Another one..

x=6

y=6^2+6/2+1

6^2=36

36+6=42

42/2=21

21+1=22

Did I miss something?

There was a thread about this last week, for what I remember, people uses all sorts of pairing methods. As Ryan says, apparently there is no "fastest" method.

It might be solving the cross on the bottom, like lots of speedcubers do. If not, I think it is just the opposite.

no, because the first cube i stickered was a sq 1 and it wasnt that bad. just make sure that they dont go on tilted.
