Any research done on how to solve any messed up position of Magic? Any complete cycles to go through ( i mean steps from complete) there's gotta be a table somewhere....anybody? I do not like the "just mess with it till it's back to flat" thing. That is not a concrete method....it's like "here dick around with this 2x2 till you get lucky" ...you know what i'm saying?

here is a youtube video I found -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGk48fPDOVU

guys, what's the algorithms to solve the outer edges of the last layer on a 5x5x5? my cube looks like this: (seen from above to the top layer)

X:correct
O:incorrect

XOXOX
OXXXO

yeah it was kind of hard but I don't think there is a solid way. You could memorize all the positions possible with a rubiks magic and make "algorithms' to unscramble it.......... But no one would waste that much time.

With that logic, nobody would ever waste their time dedicating themselves to learning OLL or PLL or F2L or harder stuff.
I'm stating that to a certain point it can be intuitive, but I find it hard to beleive that nobody has ever looked into this...

I would do something like this... Pure edge flip for the internal "edges" then 4 flip for outer edges now that they are all unoriented(Like a 3x3)
Probably not very efficient.

Hi, I am a beginner cuber, I learned cubing from the very popular video of Dan Brown (pogobat) on youtube. I'd practiced a lot but I just can't go below 1 min. My best is 1min 7 sec. I only get around 1 minute if I get lucky with the corner's at the end.

But now I have learned 2look OLL, PLL and F2L intuitive, unforunately my average has now gone around 2 min. What should I do? Any suggestions?

Just keep practicing, it is not umcommon for your times to go up (even double) when learning F2L. Just stick with it, and you'll see major improvements after time.

But F2L intuitive isn't so effective to me? I can solve the second layer but it takes a lot of time to find the pairs which is a major problem?

Isn't there any good point which I should concentrate upon while dealing with those pairs?

Just try and recognise the pieces that make up the pairs that you need and try to take it slowly to help you really learn what to do with each F2L case while making it flow smoothly.

Lookahead, keep track of the pieces of your next pair while you are solving one,and also try to make your pairs in less moves, learn algorithms for hard cases, keep practicing to improve your recognition of cases, try to have less pauses which means keep turning constantly.
