Hello..

I have a sudden need for a new piece for my V-Cube 5, one of these ''3 wing'' little pieces which are at each side of the center piece seem to have been plastic filled with air, so one of the wings just bent, deflated.

Not good quality.

But, where could I get a spare piece? In this case, white spare piece. I didn't find any site on google, so here I am asking.

I am a bit lost (no... i'm really lost) with the ortega method on 2x2x2. It seems to me that all of the last step algs aren't working... First: Is the algorithms on the second step on all possible cases, like you see the case and it can be solved with just 1 alg or do you have sometimes to use some of them and then another (or the same again with another piecec)... Yeah maybe i'm just too tired to write and think clearly but....
These instructions i'm using: http://erikku.er.funpic.org/rubik/2x2_ortega.html

Lanlan 4 vertex octahedron. I've been messing around with this for a week, is there any tips for solving it? I'm not looking for a tutorial, just a nudge in the right direction (and from a relative newb). It's a great cube so far, but frustrating. Thanks!

Apparently it's the clear sticker sheets delivered with some DIY cubes (DaYan cubes for example). They're supposed to enable you to transfer the stickers to the cube so that things turn out really straight...

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I know they aren't supposed to work with CubeSmith stickers though.

I've got one that came with cube depot stickers, and to be honest, the cube depot stickers were pretty crappy, so I ordered some cubesmith ones last week. I can probably have an answer to this within a week if nobody else has tried that combination.

I will say the plastic sheet is a neat way of putting the stickers on, as long as the spacing is correct for your cube.

What is a comm to solve this.

I use the shock oil on mine, you can find it at any RC Car Hobby Shop. I use 20wt, not sure if the weight means that much though, I hear some people use 20wt and some people use 30wt.

I use 100,000WT.

the difference between say 20wt and 30wt is almost not noticable, but using very high wt diff oil, it feels a lot more stable. It makes all my cubes smooth as a baby's backside. Unfortunately I've found on the big cubes you have to be VERY careful to not put too much in, else you'll need arms like Arnie to turn it at speed.
