I'm in need of a quick N, E, V, or Y perm. Preferably one that begins with an x, as I use Roux and at this step it's helpful if I can gain a view of the bottom of the cube and permute my corners at the same time. feel free to post what you use even if it doesn't begin with an x, I'm open to all offers.

This is more of a one answer question thread post then a new thread post. but srsly. Practice simply scrambling the cube, deciding how you do the cross before you actually solve it, and scramble it again. In other words, make sure you don't lose time looking for pieces while already solving.

Reduction probably 1:40-1:50 and 3x3 about forty seconds. Sub-2 isn't all that challenging to get. Scan the cube NON-STOP during edges. If you're fast at edges then the rest is really easy to get fast at but bad edge pairing can kill a great time.

i do reduction and i was specifically wondering how good my centers were in relation to my edges.

do very fast 4x4 solvers apply 3x3 pll to there 4x4 solves? because whenever there is a pll parity it messes me up. do they learn to incorporate it into another step or do it last or what?

how do you know if pll parity will happen when an oll parity case pops up? Basically I want to know when it would be appropriate to do a DP alg

also, what angle should I do PLL parity from? Does it matter?
It's hard to explain how to identify PLL parity from OLL, unless you can quickly look around the cube for the corner permutation + edge permutation then don't bother with it. It's still a 50% chance of PLL parity.

Depending on the angle you do the PLL parity you can influence certain PLL. Play around with it.

i just timed myself and i get around 27 seconds on centers

i got a 2:23 on a solve just now (no parity)

EDIT i did to solves with the centers already done and did no inspection to keep it realistic. I solved only so that the edges and centers were done and got a 1:12 and a 1:07

from here i did a solve from centers and edges done (3x3 phase) and got 52 sec with both parities having to be solved.

i did this again (3x3 phase) and got a 44 (no parity)

so how does this all stack up? what do i need to improve on the most? (edge pairing is what i think needs help)

My Average went from 33.7 to 50+??!!

For some reason my times increased a lot anybody had similar problems before and know what is wrong?Ask if necessary

No?
My times drop to 33sec + after using f2b and 2look oll and 2 look pll
But a few days ago i practiced and my times increased?
