That PLL thing is hard to visualize, the arrows are much easier.

Anyway, are these up-to-date algs?

I saw a sticky in the general discussion with links to algs, it had a lot more of them for each case.

Another question:How do I practice OLL and PLL? I can't make a certain case happen every time and practicing all of them at once in ludicrous.

I don't know how to explain this, but if you do any PLL (except for the G perms) On a solved cube the cube will look how it would if you had to do the algorithm. EX: Do the T-perm and the cube will look how it should if you had to do the T-perm in your solve. As for G perms, if you do a G-perm it will yield another G perm. OLL's work in pairs, at least thats how im memorizing them. Do a OLL and another OLL case will occur. Do the OLL case that occurred and you will wind up with the original OLL case. I hoped I explained this good it was really hard!

Not really, if I do a clock wise edge switch it will give me a anti clockwise edge switch. (U perm)

Uuh, wouldn't doing the inverse of an algorithm set the cube up to do the algorithm?

Also, which should I memorize first, OLL or PLL?

OLL seems more logical to progress to, but everyone says PLL is easier to memorize at first.

Yes, PLL. It takes MUCH longer to execute a 2 look PLL than it does for a 2 look OLL

Thanks. Now I just need to get some silicone spray, my shop cube is pretty slow.

One more thing, my cube doesn't have very much stretching to it, I.E., I have to align each side straight to move the next one. Is there anything I can do?

I'm learning 1-look oll, and I keep mixing up which algorithm to do for two of the "L" shape cases (I don't know how to explain it, but the two algorithms for each case are: r' U r2 U' r2 U' r2 U r' and l U' l2 U l2 U l2 U' l). Is there any trick to remember which one of those algorithms you do for each case?

I memorize algorithms to solve similar cases like these two so that where I execute it is on the same side.
For these two cases I use r' U r2 U' r2 U' r2 U r' and r U2 R2 U' R2 U' r' R' U2 R.
I remember which is which because the L points in the direction that the r goes.
Sorry if that's confusing.

When I learnt them that's what I did too, just to the r or r' corresponding to which direction the "L" shape is in when the bar is on the left. r U2 R2 U' R2 U' r' R' U2 R is a nice alg, I'll switch to it from x' R U' R2 D R2 U R2 D' R.

soo..just had a 30 some minute dnf on 3x3 blindfolded
5 minute memo edges (they were right, i did them correctly)
4/8 corners though because i couldn't figure out the path for my memo..anyway

i'm looking for a way to memo corners now! what is the most..widely used way? In your opinion (I'm sure people use all sorts of stuff)

Lettering isn't cutting it for me right now

Instead of the silicone spray, try THIS. It's supposed to be really good.

You could try the F - II or the A - V, but imo, you should also try the GuHong. They say it's godly.

First:

Does the Dayan 4x4x4 come in any colors other than black? I found black here http://witeden.com/goods.php?id=173 and here http://hknowstore.com/item.aspx?corpname=nowstore&itemid=7ffedc85-9ebd-4247-86cc-deb69fac5d9a. I thought hknowstore.com had them in white as well but I no longer see the option.

Second:

Does the Ling Yun come in white? All of ones I have seen in videos have been pink and I found a black one here http://witeden.com/goods.php?id=169 that comes preassembled. They also sell it unassembled in black and unassembled in white. I know Dayan 3x3s have a ton of pieces to put together but thats half the fun. I pretty much answered my question here but in camcubers review video or the Ling Yun vs. GuHong whatever you wanna call it video he said it came with lubricant. Does the lube still come with the unassembled cube off of witeden.com?

Third

Where can I buy both of the new Dayan cubes? (Ling Yun and 4x4) I don't need price and shipping comparisons I'll do that myself I'm just looking for where I can buy them both from. I'm only looking to make one order so I'm trying to find them on the same site.

witeden.com has the white unassembled Ling Yun and the black Dayan 4x4x4 but I'm really looking to have a just white cube collection. Is there a place that I can buy a white Dayan 4x4x4 and a white Ling Yun from?
