I just recently got "silicone spray". I got the liquid wrench kind. I tried looking for CRC. I checked walmart and 2 other stores, but I couldn't find any. I decided to just settle for liquid wrench. I spray it once. It make my store bought cube worst. I tried to spray it again after a few hours thinking I just didn't put enough, but it didn't work. I tried to wash the silcone of but I don't think I got all of it since it still feels alittle sticky. And my cube smells so bad I can't stand it. I tried putting soap in while I was washing it, but it still smells. I even put some laundry detergent in too. I also spray some of my body spray and let it sit next to my window for awhile. But it still smells. I mean it's not as bad as it was before but I can still smell it. Does anyone know how to make the liquid wrench smell come off? Also how to get it all off my cube? I might rewash it again later. Is there a proper way to lube with liquid wrench or is it just a really bad lubricant for cubes?

I'm sorry if these been ask before. I tried using the search function, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Maybe you could just stick a few lavenders in it.

I don't have any. And I don't even think that would work. Probably make it turn alittle funny if I put petals xD

Hopefully it does. I can't stand the smell. Maybe it'll air out if I leave it next to the window while I sleep.

Does anyone know where to get CRC? Don't say walmart. I already checked. They only have Liquid wrence, WD-40, 3-in-1 and and store brand I think. Does anyone know a specific auto store that has one?
 
I got a dian sheng a few weeks ago and learned how to solve it on You Tube (RobH0629). That went fine and i could solve it in 2 to 3 minutes. So I showed it to a co-worker and he lend the cube for a few weeks, but failed to solve it. I got it back scrambled up.
I tried to solve it but was a bit rusty with the algorithms and my son took of all the center pieces. I put them back by looking at a solved cube, but now i can't solve it anymore. I wonder if I put a center piece back wrong or if my colleague took out a part or sticker.
This is how it looks, I finish step 6 so bottom two layers are done, top is done (yellow) and on the third layer all corner pieces are ok. But the edge piece of two colours (green and blue) are correct while two edge pieces (orange and red) are opposite of eachother.
I have no clue as how to solve it, or if the cube is just messed with. Can some-one help me?

Hey, and welcome to the forums, well, for now, you should take it apart and put it together the right way, seeing your description, the cube now is unsolvable. Just pop the pieces out that are wrong and put them the right way. then scramble it and try to solve it again. You should be able to solve it. Best of luck!:D

Buy 3-in-1. I know some people that use it and they say it's works fine. Hopefully it will overpower the liquid wench? lol

So it must have been taken apart and put back wrong? I didn't know you could do that so easily with a dian sheng. My son (3) said he damaged it, but i still suspect my collega of playing mind trick with me. So really no other sollution than to take it apart?
 
Ok, never mind, i put a pen in between and the bits came tumbling down. It just never got out of place before.

Now ill scramble it up and try again. Thanks for your help and advice.
 
My Edison Cube feels like a side is screwing out of the core but it isn't, can someone tell me if that is ok?
 
What does it mean when a cube "pops"

I hear people saying this cube has lots of pop. or doesnt pop often but what is "pop"?

2x2x2 block should take about 6 moves. I'm not too sure for 2x2x3 expansion alone. I've actually never counted.

hmmm I use about 10 moves for 2x2x2 and 7 moves for expanding :S That's definitely not good lol :fp

Ya I use a mac and I have had problems when I go to checkout. The guy told me to just use cubefans instead.
 
I'm 100% new to this,
I don't own a rubik's cube, but I'd imagine it'd be the same on a flash/3d game.
Is there a download, or some sort of flash game that acts as a simple rubik's cube with maybe a scramble option?

I've looked on google, but they're all lame. ;]

What technique can you use to memorize breaking into a new cycle and parity using classic Pochmann and visual memo?
 
okay, so..
I know that ZBF2L inserts the last f2l pair and orients the LL edges.

Is there a way to insert the last F2L pair + orient AND permute LL edges in 1 algorithm?

If there was, i would learn it, and learn CLL as well.
