Should I worry about getting the cross in less than X moves, planning out moves for the cross during inspection, or do both while I practice?

what happened to the days when you could ask a simple question and not have people give you irrelevant opinions
Chill out. Yeah he stated his opinion that Hoya is better, so what? He answered your question very thoroughly with multiple links. Also, I have watched most of those videos before when I learned Yau, they are very good recourses.

I have realized that most people only has 2 or 3 different 3x3s. I started trying and trying and have come up with a collection of like 8, (Dayan, Moyu, YJ and FhangShi).

Here is the question: do you think it is good, in the long term, to change from one cube to another from time to time or stick to the one you like the best? I mean, if I get too used to a cube, can that hinder my progress? e.g. I get too used to a very good corner-cutting AoLong and that makes me develop sloppy turning style.

In my experience it takes just 30-50 solves to start being 100% proficient when I change from one cube to another (depending on how different they are).

Thanks!

I think that switching cubes is better. Otherwise that would be like being really good at golf, yet only ever playing at one golf course.
