D39 works best with alpha cubes (Haiyan/Alpha) from my experience.

Lubix is always great with any cube so you can't go wrong with that for the type C. D39 makes alpha cubes (especially Haiyan memory) .

D39 can be found on lighttake IIRC, lubix, from the lubix website.

What does an optimal scramble mean?

The scrambler chooses a random cube state, and then generates a scramble which scrambles the cube to that state in the optimal number of moves.

What is the best lube for an F-II?

I'm in need of a new/better megamin method. right now I'm using a lbl type method and I really want something a little better. I've watched a few tutorials on YouTube but they all use F2L in some form or another that poses a problem be ause I don't use F2L (Roux ftw) so I don't see it being worth it to learn intuitive F2L just to solve megaminx. I'm hoping that there's a quicker better method out there that won't require me to learn much more than maybe a few algorithms.

use any sq-1 tutorial, its excatly the same, but you have to pair the corners intuitively.

What is the best lube for an F-II?

I used lubix, and mine is amazing. But I have since wiped 95% of it off, and it still is awesome.

Tip, take out the screws and compress them with a pair of pliers. Then, one at a time, screw a side in really tight, and turn for appro 15 sec back and forth. This speeds up the breaking in process some, and grinds down pop areas a lil. If done correctly, your cube should then be set to a pretty tight tension, and still be really amazing and have awesome cc.

Depends on the order you do the PLLs + if you include AUF in the alg + which alg you use. Such a broad question..

assuming it is fully scrambled, do corners, square, (insert method here)

also easy tip for pairing corners. do three whit corners then three yellow corners.and store the 3 white corners on the DL face, leaving them alone for the top three stored in the UL side. then pair the last two corners, the last one is always the hardest. I could make a short explanation vid on tuesday if you want it. I do it a way where I dont accidentally pair wrong pieces.


Does anyone know how the GH light cube works? mine flashes, and I have to practically throw it on the ground for it to start flashing for 30 seconds or so. Is this normal?
