Hey guys, just got my first speed cube, a Ghosthand II. It locks up a bit, so should I tighten the tension? or loosen it?

Watch This on setting your perfect tension.

My question:
Could someone tell me what that thing is (in the bottom right corner)

Sorry, I already posted this in the Cube identification thread, but I was hoping here I would get more answers.

F(R U R' U') (R U R' U')F'

I never knew what the parenthesis stood for. Anyone knows?

Thanks in advance,

It's just for grouping moves together so it's more figure-trick friendly and easier to memorize.

Thank you.

I also would like to know: Cross is generally in six steps as I've read in most places. Does R2 count as one or two?

Thanks in advance,

2.

One more question for me: I noticed in a couple of badmephisto's oll algorithms, they look like this : (R U2 R') (R' F R F') (R U2 R')

Is there anything special why its grouped that way.

Thank you.

Double facepalm;

R2 is one move.
And your question was just answered above. To make it easier to remember, he split the alg into groups. The red R' R' is to signify it's actually an R2'. Use your brain.

I know its R2'. I just wanted to know if there was anything special. And sorry if R2 is also one move. I didn't know.

(R' F R F') is a common trigger, as are the others in separate parentheses, and triggers are a nice way to memorize algorithms, so he wrote it accordingly.
