jojo first time solved the V-cube 7, just had an edge pairing parity, and solved with the same 4x4 alg, i don't even know if there are more paritys with this cube but i solved it, took me like 2 hours (:fp) and my hands hurts.

Is there a way i can break in the V-cubes faster than just solving them??? i know about the V-cube 6 mod, but what about the 5 and the 7?? it took me like 20 secs to do any turn i want, just aligning all the layers and they are really stiff and hard to align :(

if you want to answer me and anyone already did it, please answer again LOL, i'll be checking this thread for any help i can get.

thanks in advance

V Cube 5:Lube.
V Cube 7: It's possible to apply the V6 mod to the V7.
Other than that, lube it.

Cube Depot plus shipping ($3) is $25, but it's out of stock. Speedcubeshop is $26 with shipping, so popbuying is the cheapest. But would you rather wait a month for your package (with a possibility of losing your package through customs/bad communication with popbuying) or pay $0.50-$1.50 more and get it over 3 weeks sooner with superb excellent service?

Cheers guys. I think Im gonna go with HKnowstore though. Feedback Ive had about shipping is that it is really quick.

But it's really cheaper here

Could you make a review then? :p It's a bit pricey though, and coming from C4U shipping is expensive..

It's in Lightake too.

Is this Clock reliable? I mean, can it perform as well as the 1980s Rubik's Brand?

:eek: WANT. Until recently I never knew there were knock off clocks.

You can also buy one from Lightake.

Thanks guys! Never knew they sell Clocks too. Should have checked out that shop. So, is this price resonable, free shipping and all?

How long can i record with my sony DSC-W80 picture camera?
It has type G batteries.
It shows that is is 4/5 full and I want to try my first BLD attemp.
is it enough for like 12 min?

another question, if the battery gets empty while recording, do I lose what I have recorded?

The size of the battery is basically irrellavent, you would need to know the rate at which your camera uses energy

Do people use this finger trick? I've seen it.

yes, buelercuber showed me it

What's a nice finger trick friendly alg for the cycles:
I prefer the turning U, R and D faces.
UBR->BUL->RFU
set up: F R' U2 R F' R' F U2 F' R y
UBR->RFU->BUL
set up: F' L U2 L' F L F' U2 F L'
Thanks.

Both of your cycles just happen to include my buffer piece. :D The comms I use have F moves, not D, but I'll throw them out here anyway.

UBR->BUL->RFU

R' [R' F' R2 F R, U2] R
Cancels to: R2 F' R2 F R U2 R' F' R2 F R U2 R

UBR->RFU->BUL

R' [U2, R' F' R2 F R] R
Cancels to: R' U2 R' F' R2 F R U2 R' F' R2 F R2

Thanks.

I prefer just using the alg Zane used for setup. I only use this one single alg (and it's inverse) for all cyclic shift cases.

what about this part of my question?

My main speedcube has smooth CubeSmith tiles on it. A few tiles have small clear stains (like, tiny dots except for one or two tiles). They're not really visible unless you try to reflect the light on them a certain way. However, I heard that you can be disqualified from a competition for using a cube with markings on stickers/tiles. Would my cube have problems? If so, how could I remove the stuff on my tiles?

if you "try to reflect the light on them a certain way," then you have problems. Other than that, it shouldn't affect much. If you want to clean it....just....clean it.....(something that removes stains)

Oh and I got a question about D39: how do I get that without paying 10 bucks on popbuying?

Ok, how many algs would it take to Orient all corners on a 2x2, as in all U/D colors are on the U/D faces, and then how many algs to solve it in one look from there?
Starting with the standard OLL cases, there's 8*8=64 total cases, one of them being both faces already oriented.
Then there's a whole lot more for the 'parity' cases where an individual face isn't orientable by itself. I don't feel like actually going through the cases. It's not worth it. With 63 algorithms already, your method is going to suffer from terrible recognition.
After orienting all the corners, Ortega's last step will suffice. That's 6 algorithms.

EDIT: Do you mean all U colors are on the U face and all D colors are on the D face? If so, read the above. If not, the above still applies, but you'll have a lot more for the second step.
7! permutations of the corners (one corner is fixed) divided by 8 orientations of the cube. Lots.

A few things, he never said anything about separation, and it would probably only be like half that # since there would be a few reflections/ mirrors.
Read the edit.
I did the numbers assuming no "AUF," which was probably not realistic, you're right. Mirrors are generally considered distinct algorithms, though. For example, G permutations.
