my lanlan 2x2 is starting to pop more and more, and when i tighten it, it feels extremely sluggish. would anyone recommend another brand? i hear the ghost hand is excellent.

What is the best/your preference for OH?
Is the MF8 megaminx v2 good or is there any kind better?
Should I get a mini QJ 4x4 or go with a full size? Is there any difference between the two, and if I go full size should I get the QJ or go with the Dayan+MF8?

I'm getting back into cubing after a couple of months and want to get practicing again.

Go for the Dayan+mf8 if you're not in desperate need of a 2.4" 4X4. QJ has a ball core, and I belive Dayan+mf8 has a screw spring core, wich is a lot better for speed and corner cuts. I'm pretty happy with my QJ Mini though, but I suck at 4x4 :P

Georgeanderre: You're not seriously recommending a Rubik's 4x4 are you?

Danthecuber, what's wrong with that? The Dayan has a 2x2 internal, which has springs and screws and cuts corners like BrainofSweden said.

GuHong is epic for OH, but its larger than some cubes and may not fit in your hands. The sharp edges can be uncomfortable, too. The FII would be a good choice, too. A fast, somewhat loose cube should be good.
MF8 VII is the best out IMO. find some mods on youtube for extra awesomeness.
I'd reccomend a shengshou or x-cube for 4x4, but the Dayan+MF8 is also one of the best out right now. QJ is good for beginners.

OH: I like my GuHong. I also like my friend's LingYun. You might want to consider the LunHui too.
Minx: MF8v2 is woot
4x4: X Cube or Shenshou. The MF8's decent too. I love the X Cube though

You had to? All I had to do was try and solve it. The whole damn thing was in pieces lol

Some friends are asking me for a cheaper alternative to the V-Cube 5. I thought about theGhosthand 5x5. Is it a good 5x5 speedcube?

It's pretty decent and turns well. It will pop if you're too rough with it (like any cube), but it's usually just a single piece, and easy to reinsert.

Another "What 4x4 should I get?"-question... \O/

From what I've read I know:
the x-cube is a good -if not the best- choice, but I think it's too expensive.
The Maru is not bad at all, but is prone to misallign, hence not worth its price.
The Lanlan sucks, the QJ can turn out to be a nice cube, but breaks easily.
Which leaves the Shengshou, which might pop sometimes, but is a nice cube to buy for its price, amirite? :)

--> If I'm looking for a cheap 4x4, the Shengshou is the way to go?

*edit: forgot about the dayan, but that one also pops often?

Is there a difference between the Shengshou and the Ghosthand II?
Some say there is and the GH is smoother, others say they are the same?

Finally, does anyone have the pillowed QJ 4x4? Same mech as the QJ 4x4 I guess?

I've heard it's the same too. Go get it. It's a decent cube for the price ut sells at. About the QJ, yeah I guess...

I really don't want anything specific, but I want something new to add to my collection, which includes:
3x3
4x4
5x5
Rubik's slide
Rubik's twist
Rubik's Revolution
Rubik's 360
Pyraminx
Skewb

Oh, and it has to be less than $14. Thx!

Ugh, I feel so awkward asking this since technically I've been cubing for 4 years, but what is the best 3x3 now? Been through a 7 month break and just coming out of it now.
