I am considering getting either a Valk 3 power or gans air s. I like more of a soft, quiet cube with minimal catches
Well the Power and Air S are both pretty quiet. They closed the holes in the corner pieces on the power and it uses primary plastic on the internals which seems a little softer and less clacky from what I've seen. The Air has always been a very quiet cube and the S is said to be even softer and quieter. Personally I'm going for the Gans puzzle. From what I've seen, thoughts on the Power/Power M are somewhat lukewarm versus the reception that the original Valk got. The S/SM on the other hand has been highly praised and you have to love the setup options with the GES nuts.

Ok, agreed. I was thinking about that too. But you'll never know until you try.

I'm going back to cubbing (for fun) after 1.5 year hiatus and have to start all over again (learning and memorizing the beginner's method). It's coming back slowly.

However, I've ordered a new cube (white stickered MF3RS) whilst I'm training with my Thunderclap V1 (all my cheap/budget cubes Guanlong, Sail, Legend, Yulong went to a charity shop not long ago).

Back in the day, my best times were around 1'10-1'05. Not planning on getting better, 1 minute is more than enough for me, I was wondering whether the cube matters for someone who wants to cube in his "1 minute" comfort zone.

Does the cube matter? Of course it does. Even if you're not speedsolving, a crappy cube that is very hard to turn or that pops with every other move is simply not fun to play with. For 3×3×3, it's almost impossible to find a cube that actually turns poorly these days—even the budget cubes are great—but for some other puzzles, the budget options are really bad (e.g. 4×4×4, allegedly) and it's worth it to spend a bit more money on a better product.

I am looking for a new 3x3 main, and the three choices I narrowed it down to is the Valk Power M (when it comes out), Gan Air SM or the Weilong GTS2m. If you have any info about any of those and could tell me which one is the best that would be great, thanks!

I think the only big difference between these cubes is their feelings, and that the Gan has GES nuts. Other than that the performances are very very similar.
