A good cube for Roux. Fast and smooth m slices, but not extremely fast. Is a weilong good for me?

Yes. V2 I love it. Very fast, smooth with a very nice feel, great for roux, stable, square, perfect. I like lubing it with some weight three, it gives it a nice feel. I use it for roux, and Guroux also uses it (but v1 I think). It provides the best balance between good performance and squareness we need for roux. Aolong is great, but to flexy, and older dayan cubes are very stable, but not as fast as moyu cubes. Weilong is right in between.

I'm not sure I would call the AoLong crispy, but I think the YuLong is more similar to it than the SuLong. The SuLong is very blocky and the YuLong is more beveled.

I would probably like the SuLong more between the two then. I love my GuHong and how it feels a lot more than I like the roundness on my other 3x3s like my Aolong.

Plus I really only wanted the YuLong in stickerless but Moyu has changed their stickerless shades and they're really ugly now :( I really wish I ordered my Aosu in white instead, but oh well...

Hey there.. I'm thinking about getting one or two new 3x3's, but I don't know which ones to get. I do have an aolong v2, but I just feel like trying something else out. I am currently considering buying a Zanchi and or a Yj Yulong. To your information I average just over 30 seconds with CFOP, and regarding cubes I don't like the feel of a (new) Fangshi Shuang ren v2 atleast. I would like a cube that has a nice flow to it,( I know that it is up to the cuber to do that) meaning that I don't want a blocky cube. At the same time I want to be stable and controllable.

Just ask me anything if you want/need to know more to give me a lead on what cube to get.

^ I would recommend a Guanlong or than. Out of all the 3x3s I own with a roundish feel, that is the one I have the best flow with. For blocky feel 10/10 GuHong forever <3

Guanlong good for MBLD? I'm about to buy 10 so a response would be nice. [emoji112]

Buy the cheapest one! It's not like it really matters that much for MBLD.

Question: What's a high-quality cube that has the same size and rigid, clicky feel as an Alpha V?

I really stopped keeping up to date on cubes after the Guhong V2, so I have no idea. And if this cube costs more than 12 dollars, I'm just gonna get another AV :p

Hey guys, so I'm wondering about 4x4. I already have a SS 4x4 v5, but should I keep it or replace it with a Weiu? I've heard about the lockup stuff on the Weisu. Also, aosu is out of the question, because its just too expensive for me, and I'm not at that skill level yet. Advice?

Have you tried the Liying? Pretty similar.

I would just save up the extra $7 for the AoSu. It's significantly better than both the SS and the WeiSu. You don't need to be highly skilled to benefit from the upgrade, either.

Alrighty then, I guess I should wait for Christmas to not feel guilty about spending 20+ bucks on it. To think that cubezz is the cheapest cube site but still has the aosu for atleast $20. Can't blame them though.

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I've cubed. I'm looking to get back into solving 3x3 again! I see a lot of different cubes mentioned in this thread and I haven't heard of any of them before.. The current cube I'm using has an f/s symbol on the white side. Not sure what it's called, I bought it around 2012/2013 but didn't use it much. I don't know how much better cubes have gotten in the past 2 or so years so I'm not sure if there is a better alternative? I use Roux and average ~21 seconds currently. I think I had a stickerless DaYan Zhanchi that I liked but it was loose and popped often and I got sand in it on accident. I was thinking about reordering that but I wasn't sure if there were similar new cubes I should look out for.

Thanks!
