Hey I was wondering if any of you could help me out? I'm getting a new 3x3 and not sure what to get. I currently have This cube.

I'm looking for one that is hard to pop and cuts corners well and works perfectly out the box. No weekly lubing or tuning etc (tried with another cube I had and wasn't happy with the result.) If it helps, I've only been cubing about a month and my best time so far is 37.49s (avg= 52s)

Much appreciated guys!

Any Dayan would be you best bet. Depends what feel you like, but no cube is ever going to be 100% perfect. (Although others may disagree :p)

Have a look at a few reviews on YouTube. I would go for a GuHong or Zhanchi, but I can assure you that the Dayan cubes won't let you down.

I'm wanting a new 3x3x2. I currently have a QJ one, which is really fast and loose, but locky. Are there any other 3x3x2's with the slightest hint of cutting (that's probably asking a lot I know)?
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I have a lanlan (got it from icubemart) and it cuts a little under a half a piece. Reverse cutting is nonexistent though.

I'm very new to cubing, and I'm looking to replace my original Rubik's. Here's what I'm looking for:
- Little to no popping
- Smooth, very few lockups
- Not too fast
- Cutting isn't important
- Low maintenance (I probably won't mod it or screw with it)
- MOST IMPORTANT: Stickerless is strongly preferred. After a couple weeks, the stickers started peeling on the Rubik's.

I'm barely sub-120, so I'm not looking for a masterpiece. Just something to play around with that won't fall apart. Suggestions?

There aren't a lot of stickerless cubes out there. Any dayan cube would probably be great.

Just stick with your rubiks until your sub 40. Its not worth the money at this point. If your rubiks keeps popping, get an alpha or something. If your cube can corner cut alot, you might get in the habit of sloppy turns. So stick with low end cubes.

If the only reason you want stickerless is because your stickers are peeling, don't forget you can always buy a normal cube and replace the stickers with cubesmith stickers that don't peel.

Why do people keep saying this?
Getting a new good cube earlier means your times will decrease and can get more solves in less time, which will likely mean even faster improvement. Also you say you get in a bad habit by switching but what about the bad habits that develop while using a bad cube? I had a hard time using my guhong at first because I was so used to having to use so much force and turning with my wrists it took about a week to get to used to being able to turn lightly with just my fingers. Besides if you are going to use that cube in competitions or for practice or whatever is it really so bad to take advantage of the corner cutting? It is like buying an expensive high quality computer to play solitaire...

Thanks guys! I was leaning towards the ZhanChi, but it looks like I might need to tension it a bit, since it might be too fast for a beginner.

I never plan to be sub-40 or enter competitions, but I might want to learn some finger tricks at some point. The original Rubik's locks up too easily and the stickers are starting to peel, which is why I want to replace it. Basically, I was just looking for something more durable & a very tiny bit looser.
