What are you exactly asking? Which cube to get out of these? They are all excellent, in my opinion the Shengshou 5x5 is better than the V-Cube (unless you spending hours modding it and breaking it in with a few hundred solves).

Pyraminx, Megaminx, Magics?
Which ones to get, preferrably from icubemart.com

All if you can, if you can't I'll list my opinion on it and let you decide which one.
Pyraminx: easy to do intuitively, kind of like a 3x3, takes a little shorter time to do than 3x3.
Megaminx: solve like 3x3 by adapting some algs, takes longer, creates more of a challenge, get it if you want to try something that's slightly harder than 3x3.
Magic: too repetitive, breaks easily (sometimes), and takes less than 2 sec, gets pretty boring

Thanks for the opinions, but I meant which ones specifically, like mf8, etc...

So I haven't been cubing for a couple months, but I'm back.

I need a new 3x3, 4x4, and square 1.

I use a guhong for 3x3, so I'll be getting a Zanchi (unless there's a new dayan that I don't know about yet, please tell).
I'm thinking about getting the shenshou III for 4x4, but tell me if there's a newer one that i don't know about yet, or if the shenshou III is better than the II.

What's the name of the ball core square 1? Is that the square 1 that everyone uses now? What the best one in your opinion.

Also, what american store should I buy them from?

Get a Zhanchi for a new 3x3. For 4x4s, get the Shengshou VIII. The ball-core square-1 is the mf8 v2. I'd recommend iCubeMart or CubeDepot for these (CubeDepot is in NY and iCubeMart is in LA, decide between the 2 shipping-wise).

I won't be getting anything for a while, but for when I do :

If you had to choose between a 5x5 and Square-1, which would you choose?

5x5. And if you get one, Shengshou.

Hello, everybody! My name is Sterling, and I'm new to these forums as well as cubing.

I started with a Rubik's brand from wall mart that was already partially broken in. I first learned the standard beginners method and now use the B2L method, although I solve the top layer the same way still. I've been cubing for about 90 days now and can solve a rough average of 100 seconds or so. I've decided to continue on with it and try to be a sub 60 solver as soon as possible. After scanning these forums among others I ordered trying to find a cube that fit my style I narrowed it down to F-II or Alpha V, realizing that I didn't know what my style was, I ordered both, as the two seemed to contract each other enough that chances are one or the other should work nicely for me. Especially considering I'm upgrading from a store bought. Do you think this decision wise or otherwise? Also, any tips for a new cuber?

Also, I ordered both cubes yesterday from Cube4you.com, have any opinions on this particular site? How long will it take for my cubes to arrive? (I live in Utah)

Hi every one, this is my first threat on this site. I only work on 2x2x2 rubik's cubes. and near that I can solve all kind of cubes.

well, I am trying to reach world records :) . my single record is 2:34 Full step and 0.65 When last layer skipped during first layer. I am trying to buy a good cube for my self, cause my cube was too amateurish. well, I have bought a LanLan 2x2, and i have inserted silicon in it, but it pops alot. its corner cut is not enough for my hands, but its fast enough for me.

Well, I want to know what to buy?? i am interested in V-Cube, cause i heard it wont pop and it has a good corner cut. But in other hand, I see some brands like "Yong Jun" "Ghost Hand" and so on.

then, i am confused on what to buy. The prices are not problem. I will buy the best one, no matter how expensive it is. then which brand you suggest me to buy??

Descriptions on my solving: First of all, I love corner cuts. 60% of my turns needs corner cut.
after that, I need SPEED. smooth turn is the other factor for me.
THE IMPORTANT ONE: I hate it when my rubik's cube gets Popped.

Thank you so much. ;)

Since you just joined, you probably don't know, but there's a thread for these kinds of questions. As for the 2x2, the Wittwo is a really good cube (I actually just got mine yesterday, and it's amazing).

Welcome to the forums!

I think that was a good choice. You will definitely like at least one of the two, if not both. From Cube4You to the US it might take 1-2 weeks. And as far as general tips, practice often, and when you get down less than a minute, try learning F2L if you want to learn the Fridrich Method.
