I got new cubes and I'm SOOOO AMAZED. Got a new 3x3x3 Ghost Hand I (my old one was my main for years), it's a very good cube, but meehhh. I also received some alpha cube, one of the latest. It's my favorite cube ever! I have the mini memory cube, and this new alpha is a bigger version of this mini-bomb cube.

I also received a new mini 4x4 and mini 5x5 that are the best I've ever tried. the 5^3 is better than the Rubik's 5^3 (lol) and better that the YJ 5^3 (V-Cube 5 knock off). The 4x4x4 is from the same company (I'm not sure which one... dayan?) and it's absolutely godlike. It's almost as small as mini QJ, but has the V-Cube mechanism that DOES NOT click. Both cubes have anti-pop mechanism. All my times got better DRASTICALLY, 'cause there are much less lockups with them new cubes. Centers can finally cut (that's why mini QJ sucks now... too much lockups and loose as hell).

I'm happeh :D

So my birthday is coming up, and all I really want are cubes. So I went to sCs and chose 10 things I pretty much need. I want YOU to tell me if they were good decisions. (I thought about the x-cube 4 but it is really expensive everywhere)

Lubix- just a small syringe
Super Floppy- looked like fun
QJ Timer V2- Now, I hear this isn't good.. But Cameron is out of stock on everything else.
LanLan Void cube- Fun to play with, especially with parity.
V-cube 5- Expensive, but I think worth it. Reviews all seem to praise it.
Mf8 Sq-1 (Ball Core)- I need sq-1!!!
QJ Pyraminx (stickers)- Reviews sound good, but I was trying to find a tropical eStore like the one Jackson has.
Lingao Magic (red)- Cameron is out of all the others.
LanLan Skewb- Fun!
Shengshou 4x4- I orginally was going to go with a dayan+mf8 but it seems really bulky and pops easy.. Plus shengshou is $7 cheaper.

Please tell me if these were a good decision. Thanks!

In regards to timers, is the Speedstacks timer worth it? I'll probably buy the Stackmat with it, from CubeDepotUSA. Which of the Speedstacks timers is able to connect to your computer, and does it require many cables and other, um, stuff?

Yes, it is worth it. I have a QJ and a Speedstacks, and prefer to use the Speedstacks. The version 2 of the timer can connect to your computer, if you purchase it from any main cubing store (iCubeMart, CubeDepot, etc) they have version 2 as the default purchase, even though it may not specify.

Best 4x4 to get to start solving and then start speedsolving?

I'd recommend the Shengshou VIII.

iCubeMart - $10.80
CubeDepot - $10.00

Thats what people told me before I got my guhong. Now my average dropped 30 seconds because of that cube.

I bet I could beat you using a diansheng 3x3 (I am not trying to be mean or anything) while you use a Guhong...
Once again it's the cuber, not the cube (to a certain extent).
