Does it matter if I put an C4U or Dayan core in my Lingyun v2 (the core deteriorated, too much shock oil must have softened the plastic)? Is there any big difference?

Just wondering, how is the Ghost Hand II Cube? I'm thinking of getting a GuHong though...
I'm new so yeah =P

On the preorder page. There are cubes that are too pricey for them to stock regulary, so they put it on there. At the beginning of each month, like 3-4th, they order the exact same amount of cubes that everybody ordered, and ship them right to you. So you got to wait a little longer, but they promess to beat pricing of any other cube store, and if you find it cheaper, they will sell you for even cheaper, so it's really a good deal.

My friend is currently clocking around 45-50seconods average, what cube is most suitable for him? Thanks :)

I'm averaging about 2min a solve as of last night. I got a Danyun Linyun the other night and I'm wondering if that is the right cube for a beginner like me. Right now I'm using a store bought Rubik's which was lubricated with Vaseline until 15min ago when I cleaned it out and put in Jig-a-loo (loosing some brain cells in the process, can't sleep in my bedroom tonight). Basically I'm wondering what type of cube to get or if the one I got on the way is good enough. Also if someone has already asked this sorry, I went through about the first 20 pages then got fed up!

I lingyun is a great cube, and you probably won't need a new one for a long time. Once you get your times down to under a minute, lubing it would be a good idea (avoid vaseline, it eats cubes).

Oh and when we read the other posts of the thread, we mean that last few pages; especially when the thread has hundreds of pages like this thread. :)
