Should I get MS or Meilong M for 5x5? I think that the Zhilong 5x5 M is a little too small. I'm probably gonna get the Zhilong for 4x4 since it's small and performs well

Looking for a 2x2. I currently have the Gan 251 M. Looking for a cube that is easier to adjust. I'm still finding my "feel" as a noob and I hate tensioning that thing or worse, changing the springs, and tensioning it again. (It's the fat plastic hex driver that makes it a nightmare.) It also sounds hollow and cheap. I have the stickered version. I currently have it the way I like it, however if it's anything like my 3x3, my preferences are going to change. (Every week I'm adjusting my 3x3 as I get faster)

Is there a 2x2 that has easier tensioning, and spring changing? Or is spring changing not really a thing on 2x2?

TL DR. Looking for a customizable 2x2, that is easy to adjust, and doesn't feel cheap and hollow.

the valk2 is the least cheap feeling 2x2 in existence

1. Take screw out
2. Change springs
3. Put screw in
I know, but it has less spring options and it is harder to change than the 251M GES nuts... I wish Moyu would just add a dual compression system

Edit: Nvm, I thought Gerry had the explorer model w/ GES, I take back what I said

I’ve been using my MGC 4x4 for about 8 months now and I’ve noticed that it pops at an unreasonable rate (like every 1/4 solves) and it a few of the centre pieces feel so loose they could fall out of the cube. My friend also has a MGC 4x4 and it is flawless and turns much better without pops. I’ve re-setup my cube on multiple occasions but it doesn’t help. My guess is this is a manufacturing fault.

I have a chance to go to the speedcube.com.au warehouse tomorrow to buy a 5x5 and I was also thinking about getting a new 4x4. Should I just get another MGC or should I go for something different considering my experiences?

before you go buy a new cube altogether, see if you can just buy an MGC core and see if that solves the problem. If that does not fix the cube, you can return it and buy a new cube
