But cubes are really individual taste. Some like one, another dislikes it calling it too fast. Some like weak magnets other strong. Yupo V2M seems to be the most widely recommended discount 2x2. And it is exactly same price as the QiYi MS ($3.02 + shpping).
Just noticed the MS is much newer, which is likely one reason it is not as much recommended. reviews are good.
I suppose you should choose the ones that fits your taste then.

Mgc 2 elite, valk 2 or tengyun 2×2?
I am looking for something with weak - moderate strength magnets and good corner cutting.
then valk 2 lm, or tengyun

The valk 2 is pretty stable with strongish magnets (For a 2x2) If you want weak. I would recommend the tengyun or MGC elite. (But if the magnets aren't a very big concern I love the valk 2)

there is a version of the Valk 2 ith lighter magnets called Valk 2LM

RSM 2020 or Dayan Guhong v4? Which one of the mentioned cubes is better as an upgrade to the YJ Yulong v2?

Please do not consider their prices while comparing. Assume that their prices are same.

The RS3M is much more customizable and is more universally loved. The Guhong is incredibly light and fast and has a unique feeling that you may or may not love. Personally, I main the Guhong, but the RS3M is a much safer bet.

I managed to get my RS3M pretty good, at lose settings, heavy lube to remove spring noise (requirement), stronger magnets (I picked N35 4x2mm - most use 1.5mm), and fast lube on tracks, 1000 cSt silicone oil on pieces. Now it is somewhat a bit more like my GTS3M.
But it feels so different from the turning of my Dayan Tengyun V1 (with extra magnets, still weaker than stock RS3M) and the Thunderclap V3M. Both of these feels like a former generation, where (to me) they deform a bit more during turning if you do not control it.
I feel the RS3M is way slower - The GTS3M is fast and more controllable.

I am tempted to buy/try the Guhong and Tengyun V2M, but I am not sure.

the Tengyun V2M is excellent and feels a lot like a Gan (imo), my only complaint is I wish the orange color was brighter. Sometimes depending on the lighting the orange and red colors can look very similar when turning quickly.

edit: after taking another look I'd say the orange is bright enough but the red could be darker for better contrast between the two colors. In perfect lighting it looks fine, but in lower level lighting the colors can blur together like how the bright yellow and white sometimes do on some cubes.

Guhong requires less setup than RS3M

Yeah, I agree. With the RS3M, I had to add extra magnets, tighten the screws, and find just the perfect setting for the spring compression system. For the Guhong, all I had to do was just to tweak the screws, and of course with both, add lube.

I want to try different types of 3x3s so I can find the perfect type for me
so far I have:
YLM (non magnetic)
rs3m 2020
Gan 356 X (numerical IPG)

These are all on the heavier side so I was thinking of buying a lighter cube
They are also in the medium stability range

Which cube should I try next?

by the way, what compression are you using?
3rd
