which is better 5x5 shengshou or v cube?

which is the best 6x6 and 7x7 i was thinking v cube for both?
It's debatable with the 5x5 and 6x6, but I'd recommend shengshou for both. Even if the v-cube is a TINY bit better, it's not worth the extra 10-20 dollars. As for the 7x7, I think v-cube is the only non-knockoff cube, so you'd probably be better off with a v-7.

What is the best lubix 3x3 that isn't the ELITE.
I've heard the lubix fusion is quite good, along with the ultimate guhong. I've never actually felt any of them though, that's just what I've gathered from reviews.

i have the ultimate zhanchi and its very good i compare it to other non lubix zanchis and the lubix one is much better.
i havent try a guhong at all so i cant talk about a lubix or non lubix guhong

Based on the descriptions on Lubix's site, Fusion is just GuHong with torpedoes — which a Guhong plus purchasing torpedoes separately is cheaper, so...
The Lubix ZhanChi is also very good (it's the one I own).

Frankly, for price, I would get ZhanChi. It is modded, and comes with torpedoes for only $22, whereas the other ones would end up costing you more.

Some people just prefer Guhong over ZhanChi, but I would definitely recommend the Lubix ZhanChi for its price and quality.

the lubix zhanchi description on the website doesn't say that torpedos come with lubix zhanchi? Do they come with it and just don't tell us? Do you just use the torpedos that are meant for the guhong or the lingyun? Or do you find the lubix zhanchi torpedos somewhere else?

The lubix Zhanchi comes with the torpedos inside. Included with the package.

I have a question.. I'm in the market for my first real speedcubing cube and I have no clue which one to buy. I also want to buy a 2x2 just to have. So which 3x3 should I go for? I've heard of a couple good ones but what is your personal favorite?

Dayan cubes are great! I use a Zanchi as my main speedcube and Guhongs for one handed. Personally I recommend you check out reviews of all the cubes you're interested in and pick one that may work for you. I'm still trying to find a cube that works 'perfectly' for my solving style but i'm not there yet :P

What is the best, in your opinion, Square 1 and Megaminx?

Tricky, Solving the megaminx is like doing F2L over and over, while the square 1 is a completely different style of puzzle (the algs are unintuitive and quite long, but you don't need to know too many).

Just grab a ZhanChi, and it you fancy a 2x2 go for the LanLan, it's really cheap and very good.

I think he meant, which brands of Megaminx and Square-1 are the best. (Which would make more sense, because he used the word "best", but only listed two items.) I don't know about square-1, but I believe the best Megaminx is the Mefferts, closely followed by the mf8 V2.

I don't recommend V-cubes ...
for 2x2 cheap lanlan and GH work very well.
and some say Wittwo is the best 2x2 out there .
for 5x5 shengshou's pretty good and so cheap and also the world record cube.
shengshou 6x6 also rocks and cheaper.
dayan +mf8 6x6 may come these days and that may be good too.

and 7x7 , yeah V-cube.

not all the v-cubes are best and they're expensive.
but they're durable and have perfect plastic quality...

My AV and F-II finally came in. It took longer than I was anticipating with it was worth the wait. I haven't lubricated either cube but I'm already very, very pleased with the F-II, although I admit it's a little on the poppy side. The AV however has me somewhat disappointed. Again I haven't lubed either cubed, maybe that will help with the excessive binding I'm experiencing with the AV. I love how crispy it is, but beyond that, I don't really like it... at all. Hopefully lubricating it will assist the issue some how.

Opinions?

I really love the AV. Like other alpha cubes, it responds very well to jigaloo and crc
