Did you get used to it?
I started with an F2 (well after a week) which took no time at all to get used to and was easy to go straight into fingertricks. So I didn't waist any time getting any wristed algs into muscle memory.
That been said, my lubix Guhong was incredibly loose, and instead of getting used to it I had to tighten it a little, though I keep thinking it would have been better for my turning accuracy to get used to a looser cube.

I did, but by this time, lubix is gone and I use silicone oil and I'm not plannig to buy any lubricant until about my first comp (Lubix isn't very cheap)... truth is, I like my GuHong this way, but when I'll get better at F2L I really need to make it a bit faster...

Guys, what's the best 2x2x2 out there? I have heard that Maru is quite good.
Where can I get it at a reasonable price with free shipping?
Also, the same question about 4x4x4.

best 2x2 by now is probably V2 (not pillowed, normal!), but by now, you can get it only from their official site so it's quite expensive... second would be LanLan, (black and white) they surely have maru too, but it isn't that great cube from what I heard
most famous 4x4s are X-cube (black and white, but they are hard to assemble at first) and Dayan+MF8

but lightake has extremly slow shipping from my expirience

LingYun, it has all the the great corner cutting of the Guhong, while being a little more controllable (however more poppy too). I've not heard anyone say the C3 was anything better than OK.

whats the best pyraminx? i was thinking i should get the qj. are the c4u 3x3x5 and 3x3x7 cubic puzzles that great? are they fun to solve? or do you only solve them one or twice and then put them down?

Any opinions on the best mini cube available here in the states? My Girlfriend has small hands and i want to get her a cube to fit her for Valentine's day. (along with flowers and other stuff....geez it's not like i'm just getting her a cube xD)

mini type c and mini alpha are amazing. I think you can get them at speedcubeshop.com

O.K. I don't want to be that generic cuber who uses the same cube as everyone else and same method.
I might stick with Fridrich but do you guys know any cubes that are good but not many other people use?

You seriously want an inferior cube just because you don't want to appear to be conforming?

EDIT: No wait! I've got it! Get a LingYun.. It's an amazing cube, but since most people prefer the Guhong you can appear really rebellious by declaring it the better Dayan cube :)
