Hey guys, i'm looking for a new 3x3. I average around 30-35 seconds, but am improving decently quickly. I currently have a Fangshi Shuangren V2, but I dont love it. I love smooth and buttery cubes, my favorite cube was the Shengen f2, is there something with a similar feel to that? I would prefer it to pop very little as well.

Do you mind stickerless? Because then I say stickerless Zhanchi. Smooth and buttery and never had a pop.

I'm not sure about stickerless, I prefer stickered. Are there any others that are similar, if not I might go with the stickerless zanchi.

Is there any other difference between the Moyu Aolong and the Moyu Aolong V2?????
- apart from the fact that the V2's corners do not twist during solves.

Basically, I REALLY like my V1 (even though the corner does twist a bit), and want to get another, but am worried that I may not like the V2 if its feels different.

Apart from the Aolong that somebody recommended already, if you really like smooth and buttery I'd say try the Shengshou Aurora. With two drops of Maru it is just great.

Does the Shengshou 8x8 have the same problems with crappy turning and lockups that the Shengshou 6x6 has? Even layer Shengshou puzzles seem to suck in general, and I might not ask for the 8x8 for Christmas if it's going to be a locky piece of crap like the 6x6 is. Does it feel more like the 7x7 or the 6x6? I love the 7x7.

OK so...just got back to cubing. What's the "best" cube that most cubers use now? Is Zhanchi still the king?

No! First, I already have a DAYAN 3x3. I do not have a 2x2. And i want a 3x3 Mirror cube

Speedcubing:
1) MoYu LingPo or Dayan 2x2
2) MoYu Pyraminx
3) Dayan megaminx
4) New 3x3, I only recommend this if your Dayan is giving you a lot of problems

Entertainment:
1) Shengshou mirror blocks
2) Dayan megaminx
3) MoYu Pyraminx
4) Dayan/MoYu 2x2

I'm probably making matters worse by double posting, but hopefully the old thread will go back down. I said in the other post

"I love the weight and smooth feel of the Shengshou Aurora, I like the speed of the Fangshi mini and Moyu Guanlong. I get a few more lockups with the SS and a couple seconds slower on average, but I like the feel of it better. I'm averaging at the moment around 30 seconds with my best around 20.9 with the Fangshi. What would fit that description?"

guysensei1 said a gummed up Aolong. Would you suggest V1 or V2?

I suppose a V2 since V1s are harder to find.

Hello. I am a beginner to speedcubing. I started cubing about 3 weeks ago and now I'm averaging 50-55 seconds with the CFOP method (with 2-look OLL and PLL of course). I am currently using the YJ Yulong Stickerless with no lube whatsoever. I'm ok with the cube even without a lube because it's my first speedcube (I used Rubik's Original before this), but I want to change to a better cube. Sure, I said that the cube's good. But I have experienced quite a few lockups and even, on some cases, pops. Turning also feels kinda heavy, but obviously lighter than Rubik's Original of course. Corner cutting aren't good either, but that's probably just because I didn't lube it.

For the new cube, my eyes are on Dayan Zanchi or Moyu Weilong + Maru Lube. Any suggestions?

Moyu Weilong is a good choice, for sure. But the YJ Yulong is very good, I've heard. I don't think you will see a lot of improvement. Probably what you need is to lube your current cube, adjust tensions to your liking, etc.
